in each group of missions, 2 are time missions (these cannot fail), 1 fighting mission (in these, stats of the opponent are balanced to be easy, medium, or hard... stats vary as a function of difficulty) and one mission based on stats (ditto, vs a given stat)...
obviously the fighting and stat missions can fail or succeed based upon your stats relative to the difficulty...
(short answer- the fighting and stat missions are definitly affected by your stats)
