Hi, add me as another who joined up just  to voice my disapproval of the new voting system, for me it was part of the fun that was keeping me in this game, for all the reasons listed above,  but mainly voting voting for  studio members, sadly  i doubt i will even bother to vote anymore

 

I guess while i am here, i do like the costume previews but unfortunately for about the last 10 months of the game there hasnt  actually been anything in the shop that is better than i have already got,in fact the offers i got from the shop last night , -39 was the closest lol and yep that was a minus, i find the shop almost pointless really except for  when you need to buy missiles

 

35 dollars Australian to buy the the superhero outfit lol, now that did make me laugh, there is some serious delusion there

 

99 diamonds to change a movie  name, i know this an old one but yeh another good laugh

 

I think these guys price themselves out, the diamonds pack in sales are a major rip, in saying that i have brought a coupla times but i think they are a tad overpriced, sometimes less is more, i wonder if these guys lowered their prices if they would find maybe they mjght sell  to more people other than the hardcore, i have no idea how much money they make out of this game, im guessing they are doing ok

 

Anyway, bring back the old voting style or at least let us vote for our Studio

I don't like the new voting system and having said that it would be nice to be able to buy the new costumes with notes ..... 

 

Oh well ...... nothing new ..... no new film covers or borders and yet we have this new way of voting without knowing who we are voting for .....

 

I wish that there was a pass button ...... voting isn't fun anymore.

I approve of the anonymous voting. Spending diamonds to make a nice movie gets nullified because rival studios have agreements to vote against anyone in your studio. I have stopped spending diamonds in this area because of this.

 

I really like the superhero costume. At my current exchange, it would cost me $24 American dollars to get the set. Problem is, is it worth the extra cash? I think I'd rather buy a diamond pack than to buy just one suit where I don't even know how many skills I will get out of it.

after reading all your opinions and arguments I decided to bring them over to the german forum of BBE.

I am one of those players who totally likes the idea of an anonymous voting but I truly can understand some of your arguments. 

 

Thats why I made the following suggestion in the german Forum of BBE:

 

Let the voting remain anonymous but bring back the chance to vote for studio members of the voter.

(So everyone and everything remains anonymous while only studio members are named again or even highlighted.)

 

I hope this is an acceptable compromise for you and maybe the chances for implenting this suggestion are a bit higher after pointing this out in the german forum as well.

Yeah I agree with Navrim - I think it would be a solution that keeps the in-studio friendship growing, while preventing the teaming up of studios against others that is currently detracting from the purity of voting that seems to be the main reason they implemented the change.

I would add that to further enhance that purity, increasing the number of titles to four instead of the two currently presented would allow for a better reflection of the Cover Arts quality in the voting.

maybe if the studio boss and/or producers could spend studio notes, or diamonds even, to make studio films... 2 up to 4 studio members assigned by them on the cover... studio name or symbol appears on the cover... title can be random, or pay for unique one,,, something like that could definitely help team spirit... every team could vote once a week, and win prizes if their's gets the most votes...

I don't like the anonimous voting either so from now on i will vote for the right cover this week and for the left cover next week

People really seem not to like the new voting system that much. I personaly dont really care. I vote randomly, dont even take my time to wait for the covers to wait. Who is lucky gets my vote. But if so many people dislike it the devs should consider bringing back the old way of voting.

Movie covers should be based on creativity and not only self-promotion of any particular Studio. In the replies I've seen many who vote 'against enemies', 'against studios', 'for friends', 'for studio'. I understand the reasoning but imagine a studio with 30 members, each member @ 2 votes per day x 7 days= 420 votes. A studio of 6 members would get 84 votes. See where I'm going with this?

That is exactly what and where this direction should be headed, A studio makes movies and the more movies it makes, the more profit it should earn based on popularity of those movies. Studio makes a film, film's popularity earn's income, studio members draw a royalty of any/all movies created with the help of members who joined in the making of said film. easy

So people who aren't in a studio cant make films?

And the ones who have developed and worked to build a large studio should be rewarded for that.

Sure the members of smaller studios will be disadvantaged, but all the more reason and incentive

to work on building up their studios.

There is a limit to the number of members in a studio already so the imbalance is only for establishing studios

and an up and coming studio in the real world would struggle to compete with a established one anyway.

 

You do make some good points... I will think on what you have said... the idea of implementing a studio developed movie is getting me excited

I'm thinking we can still make our  individual and independant movies, but also include studio movies as a way for studios to grow and earn income for their membership. As things are now, 1 studio can attack another studio once a day. We do this by fighting. Why not, attack other studios and beat them by making a better movie?

Hi, I'm from the German version of this Board, and I have to admit, that I am one of those being responsible for the latest changes in the voting system to the Big Bang Awards. I felt that it there would be more fairness without the names and the studios being submitted by the programm. You know, on German servers there is some sort of love and hate relationship between the members of the stronger and the weaker studios as well as between some of the studios, too. So I thought it would be more fair, if one is only able to make his choice by seeing just the covers and nothing else. Apparently I was one of the few who would see it this way. The majority of those wanting to keep the system the way it used to be remained silent during a discussing opened by one of the german board managers. Unfortunately that means, that in this case, the majority lost the discussion...

After the release of the Patch, there was some sort of a shitstorm by those, who used to prefer to stay silent and one of your own board members, Barito Boy, posted a statement in order to tell us how you guys feel about the update. Thanks to you, Barito Boy and congratulations to your Geman. You wrote, your German would probabyly be worse than our English. Well, looks like your German is better than the German of most of the German Borad users.

However, Barito Boy said, you would like to see at least a hint, if you can vote for a member of your own studio. This is actually a good idea, and is currently discussed by german board users. Since most of those who wanted to know the name of the one they are giving their vote to, i think this could be a compromise both sides could live with.

people not in a studio wouldn't be eligible to make studio films... my proposal was to be seperate from the films we currently make...

I actually want to know why they asked that question for the voting system only to the Germans. They could had just put that change in the German servers and ask on the other servers later if they want the voting system to change. 

 

Just like something special on or around the cover to say it's a studio member would be a good option, that way it's still something like random voting.

Let me put this into perspective. First, the German Forum is not running the game. As much as we'd like to take part in making decisions, we usually are not asked for anything accept making suggestions. That is what we do. We make a lot of suggestions on how we would like to see certain parts of the game to be improved. Usually these suggestions are literally ignored. On rare occasions Playata takes bits and pieces and puts them into something the came up with. Usually the outcome is not what the German Gamers wanted, but at least something has been done. In the end, there is a lot of criticism in the Feedback Threads in the German Forum, just like in yours.

Since the remodeling of the Porn flics and the new feature Big  Bang Awards weren't seen as good by the Gamers, there has been al whole lot of criticism and suggestions towards both. I guess the German Forum wasn't the only one being not too happy of what Playata had done. I'd like to say that the Polish and Brasil Forum weren't to keen, too, but you know, being German and probably as dumb as Merkel, my Polish and my Portuguese are non existant, so i can't really say anything about it. However, Playata, also being a German company, decided to improve their own masterpiece and also decided to ask the German Forum, what we would think of some options, they would want to implement, if the gamers are okay with them. Some of those options based on suggestions made by gamers, others were Playata originals. I guess, it is just the more direct way, to ask the people of your home country to get a general idea of what the gamers might want. Personally I don't think that the opinions will differ that much just because you'd ask the same questions to 20 Nations. Additionally, translating sometimes quite complex concepts into a different language can be quite tricky, especially if you want to do it right.

 

@ Evolution: I'm with you and there are a couple of other German Forum members who are, too. This idea/ suggestion has already been in German Forum, but ti be honest, i don't think Playta will remove the Awards. They spent a lot of time and work for this project and still do. It's quite unlikely for them to cancel it.

 

@ Annefine: Thanks for that comparison. If you think someone holding a doctor in physics is a dumb person, i guess most of the Germans are even dumber than Merkel, but i also guess that means most of the people in the world are dumber than Merkel...

Well she may be smart academically, in the physics world, but for real life she probably hasnt got much of a clue, in fact in Australia  we just had one similar ourselves, i give you Tony Abott, our ex pm, smart guy academically but clueless with everything else

 

Anyway i prob shouldnt of mentioned Merkel, you poor sensitive things and i dont want turn this into a political discussion

 

The way the changes should of been made though was an open discussion for all players, Not just the self elected elite of the game
