I got three stars on my first film.

 

Spent three diamonds on the title.

 

And nine on energy (won't do that again)

 

Wasted notes trying to change the cover once it was set.

 

It was confusing at first and I'm not sure if I like it.

 

It is good to be able to make two movies in one day.

 

Being able to make a film and do missions at the same time is pretty cool.

 

I'm still not used to it.

 

Also I thought that we would get more cover and border options.

 

Will wait and see.

Yeah thats great and all but many in my studio only log on for a couple of minutes and log off. And I'm not forcing them to stay and finish a film if they don't want to.

Last I checked, participation in a GAME is voluntary and you can't "make" anyone do anything.  Also, if the members of your studio ONLY log on for a couple minutes and then off, how many films are they ACTUALLY completing? (Meaning that this update REALLY won't affect players that don't DO anything.)

Well this is more of an open discussion about the new film feature and not really about a specific question so it fits. FAQ should really only be for actual questions about game play and answers.

 

I created an opinion topic so we can continue the conversation and make it easier for our feedback to be gathered.

No, it won't affect players that don't log on much but some people have busy lifestyles and can only access the game or timed missions at certain times. I'm a daily player so it doesn't affect me and I like the update with the exception that it's timed and that we don't get as many fans per film now.

Also why can I only see the time that the movie was released and not the date?

Correction: One of my studio members had their last movie deleted due to the update but we were warned of this.

 

I like every factor of the new film feature except that it's timed.

Firstly, there is a 'Show Headgear' checkbox on Your Star tab.  Check the bottom right, though I do believe there is a minimum level for it.

 

I've performed 3 new films (I think, maybe 4) on the new system and each one has been a 3-star movie without significant stress, despite a few bugs and kinks.  I've never once had to spend any diamonds to refill the energy, though sometimes I do cut the time close.  Sometimes it's simply better to go for guaranteed, lesser film points.

 

Before the change, my films always seemed completely chance based on their ratings.

 

Aside from that, I do appreciate that it's a new energy system altogether, which means I can keep my head a bit more occupied while travelling with my phone, at least for about 25-45 minutes every 8 hours.

Head gear used to turn up on the old film covers, regardless of if they were un-ticked or not ..... a good feature for the new version.

I know this comment is somewhere else because this post was merged, anyway I tried a new strategy with film making this morning.

 

I only did tasks with the highest film points and everything went okay, no messages, no vanishing energy.

 

But I only got half of the fans.

 

We shouldn't have to do it this way and it may not always work but it helped.

 

And if anyone finds my duplicate comment, please direct me to it.

Films are getting longer to do.

 

There's no option under about an hour or even an hour and a half.

 

I'm managing to do two movies a day.

 

The night time ones are the hardest.

 

And I'm running out of different clothes to use.

I really like the fact that it's more interactive with different types of sets.

 

It drove me crazy at first and I hated it.

 

But now I love it.
