I noticed we can win boosters as rewards for missions. My question is, are they for any booster or specific ones. And is it safe to assume they are only for 25% boosters? And a final question, how can I apply them or are they applied randomly?

Thank you, it's just recently that I began seeing little boosters on some of the missions.

Those are success rewards. Once you have completed the amount of missions needed to get it, you can redeem it when you decide to use it from the your successes icon at top right (When you click finish, it applies the reward).

 

I really didn't keep track of what I got throughout the time sorry , but the last one was a 50% skill booster..

I believe it can be either 25 or 50% ones (or maybe only 50% ones), and randomly between mission, skill and work.

The only free boosters I won was very early in the game around levels 10-30....not sure I received any after that.

there are mission that will give boosters as rewards...

 

these are generally the 50% boosters and replace any one currently in use...

What I have seen is that they all are 50% boosters (some short ones than you can buy once though)

I think those are perfect for those who never buy diamond boosters because they spend it on other stuff xD

I don't think I like that they replace the current booster. That would mean we lose the previous booster.

It only becomes effective and replaces the old if you redeem the reward as soon as you get it.

 

If you don't want to lose your current one, it's simple, wait til it ends and then only redeem the new reward booster from "your successes" tab.

I concur. I've received 50% skill boosters as success rewards.
