I spent 20 diamonds (which is way too much) by mistake while dueling because i thought i still had energy left for another duel. I know i click to fast but the game should give a warning about spending such a high amount of diamonds for a single duel.

I've done this many times as well. I can pass along the suggestion about the cost of duels being too high. In the meantime though, I'd suggest that you should be more aware of what you are clicking or tapping in the game before you click or tap on it. It's helped me.

Yeah, I've done that too. Once I even extended a bloody party by mistake (I blame the slightly annoying format of the dialogue window, just as how I accidentally keep hitting save rather than the cross when I examine the studio notes). Like Evo/Paige says, you just have to slow down a bit when you play (I suspect we are all a bit too quick on the trigger sometimes). It would be awesome to have an option to turn on diamond notification dialogue windows, but I suspect that it could be a hassle to put it in the game and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.
If you are challenging through the ranking list, one good way of dealing with the dueling is to first click the dueling screen, check the actual number on the meter (and see that it is enough for a free attack) and only then pick your target and hit the attack button. It may sound annoying, but I think that at least on a PC it is a relatively easy procedure, and once you do it (if you work in certain industries you might already be used to performing annoying double-checks) it will just be part of a fluid routine.
My routine is thus, after the fist looks to be fully colorized:
1. Open the fight screen
2. Check the courage meter
3. Open the ranking list
4. Pick out someone I am likely to defeat (though who doesn't like being whipped by someone with way lower stats than you once in a while?)
5. Either double click the name or hit the button to go to that player's screen.
6. Hit attack button (and, if you are really insecure, again make sure that there is no 20 diamond price tag on the attack button before you hit it)
7. Cross your fingers and hope for glory
8. Rinse and repeat
The trouble is that the fist can look full when you have 19, but if you go through my 8-step program, you should be able to pick free fights efficiently and without crying over wasted diamonds. The routine really doesn't take much, and once you have it down, it's second nature.
