Just a thought but ........

 

Maybe there should be a cancel out option for films.

 

A one off button to cancel your film just in case real life calls.

 

The cost could be either in notes or diamonds.

 

I am sure that some of us have experienced a bad film experience.

 

We should have one cancel option for a just in case situation.

 

Thoughts?

it's not a bad idea... I don't know how easy it would be to program for it, but it would be worth looking into...

The problem I see is that it might become an exploit for a bunch of experience if you work up a movie to 90% and then cancel it and keep doing it systematically. You can get a fair bit of experience out of a 3h movie, and if you can just cancel the progress and keep do it over and over, that would be a lot of experience.

The one solution to the problem I mentioned would be if the rewards (notes, experience, diamonds, items, and skill points) would be gathered up and only awarded once the movie is done rather than given out as they are earned (like at conventions). If that was the way, then I don't think you should have to pay anything to cancel the progress. But if the rewards are awarded as they are now, I just can't see how it would be workable without opening the door to exploits or making the cost so high that it won't be worth paying it.

Thanks Angelica, I think that if it's done right it could work and real life has a way of popping up when you least expect it.

 

Also it would be a film "option" not something that is compulsory. I think that gamers should at least have the choice.
