Does Playata run to a timeline for release of updates to the game?

Is it once a month?

Is it whenever they feel like adding the stuff in?

Is it as soon as a section is completed?

Do they release a pre-update advisory notice?

 

Does anyone know when or what the next update will be?

Updates are released in a 3 weeks cycle.

So 21 days after the last update there will be a new one.

No, they don't have an exact timeline for a release of certain updates such as a new city or a new way of making covers. In general, Playata releases an update every 21 days, just as Rogerio Navrim said. There is no pre-update-note in which you could read what is going to be on the server after the update.
