To Playata and European Games,
Your game is dying, almost dead. I have a few thoughts I’d like to share as a former player who was looking for an idle clicker to pass the time, and remembered the fun had in BBE.
I made accounts on all of the English-speaking servers and played until level 2, long enough to allow me to check number of players on rankings, studios on server, temple participation, BBE films present on servers.
I then killed all of the accounts just made because I discovered that your servers are DEAD, on all 12 of your English-speaking servers almost nobody is playing:
USA 1,2,3,4,5
UK 1,2,3,4,5
INT 1,2
To my horror, in the 7 minutes I lasted on one of the UK servers, at level 1 a message appeared inviting me to join a new UK6 server that is about to be launched. This is how to sink an already dead game completely.
Suggestions:
- UNIFY SERVERS in each region to go back to a single US server, a single UK server, a single international server. The result might be a healthy enough player-base on each server who are actually active and involved with the game, competing and having fun - conducive to purchases in your cash shop and money in your wallets.
- REMOVE the BBE forum link from your homepage and leave it just in game. The forum is as dead as the game except for the update notices, and anyone visiting will see most recent posts and threads dating back to 2020 even. LOL. This is not healthy for your game. Just leave the forum link in the game itself
- Either FIX your Steam game or remove the link to Steam from your homepage. The Steam version is BROKEN; it can be downloaded but then disappears from the library. It’s been like that for 2 years at least. Is it even supported in Steam anymore?
- Playata,UPDATE and CLEAN UP your own website…geez!!! I Have no words for this. How can people trust this game to be alive, fun and still in development if the dev team doesn’t even maintain its own website? If Playata still exists, that is - I wonder at this point. How about either remove all the photos on your “About Us” page, or in alternative remove the people if they’re not with Playata anymore? Some people do check dev and production websites, ya know? LOL
- Lastly, do some good promotion once you’ve unified the servers inviting people to check out the brand new unified, fixed and appealing you that this game should represent,and maybe things will click again. Right now you’re beating a very dead horse that no doubt is only making you a fraction of the money it once made you, if not losing money on it already. Your own doing, with your over the top server fractioning.
TL;DR: From a business standpoint, this game has the same enormous potential it had years ago, if promotion and development are handled properly. It’s a blatant pay to win game, and player base retention is a major issue because of this, but ….maybe broaden your mental horizons and put it in the condition to make you lots of money again instead of pro-actively killing it by adding server upon server upon server?
Sad to see the game in this condition, and the Nutaku semi-porn cartoon booba mini-game that you added to it is not your ticket to more players - at this point I think the only hope left for BBE is unified servers. Maybe you don't care.
I'm just leaving this here as food for thought, passing through and on my way out.
