The following changes were made today (2020-04-28):

New features
General
• In addition to the regular rewards, you can now also get Likes as a reward for movies.
• The maximum attainable level has been increased to 900.
• In the ranking list, you can now see how often you have attacked a player and how often you can still attack them.

 

New items for future events and specials have been added:
• We've added 5 new items in 3 colour variations for female characters, which can be obtained during special events.
• We've added 5 new items in 3 colour variations for male characters, which can be obtained during special events. Two of them come with a special aminated effect.

 

Maintenance
General
• In the browser version, if there's no video advertisement available in the TV, you will still get the respective bonus for the advertisement.
• Several minor bugs have been fixed.

As I don't play the game anymore, perhaps asking in your studio or a player here can answer that

Likes are used for streaming, to unlock actors and scenes.

How does one activate a scene once it has been unlocked so that the bonus can be used?

Assuming you have already spent the likes to unlock it, then you will see it when you select a streaming activity. Locations and actors are randomly generated so you may not see it right away.
