The following changes were deployed today (2018-11-20):

New Features
General
• From now on, there is also a ranking list for individual performance in temple competitions! The ranking list can be found under "Solo Temple".

• In addition to the solo temple ranking list, matching successes have been added.

• The marriage feature has been slightly adjusted. You can now also marry players you are already married to. If you renew your vows, both parties will each receive a new ring.

• The texts for the divorce feature have been adjusted slightly. The texts now clarify that marriages are only divorced from the party that filed the divorce and that the ex can continue to use the title.

• The friends list has been extended by one friend.

• If deco boxes are purchased in a pack of 10, at least one epic and one rare deco box are now included. In addition, the rare deco boxes have been slightly adjusted so that they are easier to distinguish from common boxes. This has already been fixed with a hotfix.

• The tooltips for movie offers now show if an item has not yet been collected.

 

New items for future events and specials have been added: 
• We've added 10 new items, as well as 75 new color variations for items for female characters, which can be obtained during special events.

• We've added 10 new items, as well as 75 new color variations for items for male characters, which can be obtained during special events.

• We have added 31 new decorations, which can be obtained during special events.

 

Maintenance 
General 
• If you attended a convention for a temple task, the temple points were not distributed until the completion dialog was confirmed. This has been fixed.

• You could not buy more than 7 outfits because the scroll arrows were not displayed. This has been fixed.
• No items could be dragged into the storage tabs 16-21. This has been fixed.

• While on a mission, the animation of the career background restarted every second. This has been fixed.

 

International Server 
• Filtering by language in the ranking lists did not work as intended. This has been fixed.

 

Steam 
• The game is no longer paused when it is out of focus.

Quite a few fixes and additions to the game that I'm happy to see. I especially like the Solo Temple Ranking and the tooltips for new films showing whether an item has already been collected. This will come in very handy when looking for films with items just to be able to complete a collection.

There seems to be a lot of issues with the new features. I have yet to see any of them since the update. In fact, I haven't even seen BBE since the update. There is no BBE on Facebook. It doesn't appear to be a Facebook issue since all other games are working just fine. I have shot pool, been fishing, slung birds out of a slingshot at pigs and played about 500 hands of Spades, still no BBE. I figured now would be a good time to unbind from FB, but that has to be done from inside the game. Unfortunately there is no option to do so from the blank screen I am getting. Any idea when this will be fixed?

 

Yes, I have sent a support ticket. No, I am not going to check my e-mail all day for an automated response. 

 

P.S. You don't get a screenshot because BBE is obviously scared of them.

Support is aware of the issue. I have no information about a time frame for a fix, however.  Sometimes these problems are facebook, sometimes they are playata. It usually takes longer if the problem is with facebook. 

 

After the system comes back, I strongly recommend detaching your account from Facebook to avoid this problem. It seems to me, you just add another source of problems, and you get to pay extra to play because Facebook takes a cut of your purchases.

Until Facebook/Gameroom is able to get it up, I won't be able to play it at all. It's the only way I'm even able to play this game.

That's a serious problem! Many studio fights are gonna derail now with unexpected missing players. So there should be a refund of used doubles until this is fixed.

I strongly advise everyone to unbind from dubious fakebook asap.

I have been hearing that people have been getting back in this morning unofficially. I just now received the official notification that it is fixed.

Did the Facebook crash that happened the same day as the upgrade have something to do with the issue?

I do not know for certain. It is certainly possible.

There seems to be a glitch in the Solo Temple Ranking list.

 

Click on Rankings List button, go to Temple, select Solo Temple, highlight any player, click on the button that says "Show the selected star"

 

Response is Unknown Error.

 

Several players are experiencing the same thing. Also happening in NU1 and INT1 servers.

 

I have submitted a ticket to support.
