What are outfits? How are they used?

You can also create your own 'Outfits' using items from your storage.  In the 'Your Star' and 'Sex Shop' tabs, you go to the mannequin icon alongside your storage area to access your outfits:

D7ucxN6.png

In here, you have your equipped items and one starter outfit slot.

It is important to understand that the very first outfit is called ‘Equipped Items’ and it controls nothing. It literally consists of what you are wearing, and does nothing else.

DO note that 'Equipped Items' is automatically used for duels, and there is no way to change that. What you wear is what you duel in. This is a good thing!! It means that you can see what a potential duel opponent will actually be using, so you are not ambushed by much better gear when you click on the Attack button.

To look at one of your outfits, simply click on it on the list to the left, and it will appear to the right.  To complete an outfit, simply click on each item box and select the item you want to use from your storage in that outfit:

a9iEDvE.png

You can purchase additional slots for up to nine outfits by clicking on the 'Unlock' button!

Above shows an example of using four outfit slots, one for each skill set.  By putting your highest level item for each skill into one outfit, you can create a ready made outfit maximising that skill type!  You can see the highlighted one shows that the total Charisma score is much higher than it is with the items in the currently equipped outfit, while the other three skill sets are considerably lower.

In order to personalize your outfits, you need to use the buttons at the bottom of this screen:

Vgyq5MF.png

The 'Equip' button simply lets you select the currently highlighted outfit and make it your main equipped outfit, changing what you are wearing in the main game! Be careful with this button, there is no 'reverse outfit' button, so if you overwrite your dueling gear, you may have to manually reset what you are wearing.

The other three buttons carry out the following:

MkM89je.png Sets a descriptive name so you know what the outfit is for:

87cgkHP.png

Just click on the 'Rename' button when you have typed in the name of your outfit

Ll5N4M9.png Sets your current equipped items into the current outfit. Useful when starting a new outfit.

Xp1yP9S.png Determines when this outfit is to be used. VERY IMPORTANT!!

Simply tick all of the boxes that you would like this outfit to be used for in the game. If you do not specify where an outfit is used, then it is just a wasted outfit. Don't lose a studio fight because you forgot to turn on your outfit with that brand new ring!

R5F7OAo.png

Once you have selected all the areas you want, click on the 'save' button and this outfit will now be used in those situation every time from now on, instead of your main equipped items.

Note that the game does NOT actually change your gear. You are always wearing your dueling clothes, ready to defend yourself!

Outfit pro tips:

  • Your missiles are not part of outfits. If you remove your missiles to duel, a studio fight outfit will not put them back on for you!
  • The tooltip for an item will say if the item is activated in an outfit.
  • Trying to sell an item that is in an outfit will put up a warning message.
  • If you do actually sell an item from an outfit, pink exclamation marks will identify which outfits and which items need to be replaced.  If you do not replace the item, that outfit will use what you are wearing by default. If you actually do not want to wear an item in that slot in this particular outfit, pick the blank item.

- What is glory and what does it give me?

By doing duels, you gain glory. You basically fight another player in the server. If you win, you gain glory and you opponent loses glory. You also gain notes, and sometimes also an item or diamonds. Of course, if you lose, your opponent gains glory while you lose glory.

Note that the winner of a duel gains about 25% more glory than the loser loses.

A duel costs 20 courage, unless your studio has courage trophies, which reduces the cost by 2 per courage trophy. Your duel fist on the activity bar will tell you when you can launch a duel.

5gtW7m8.png

If you do not have enough courage, your duel fist will be gray and your courage bar will be very low.

IPFjYKR.png

You gain one courage every 30 seconds until you have enough courage to start a duel. After that, you gain a courage point every 3 minutes. To do the maximum number of duels, keep your courage bar recharging at the faster rate!

If you are anxious and don't wish to wait, you can launch a duel immediately for 20 diamonds. If you do, you keep all your courage, so launching duels immediately does not slow down how often you can duel for free. You can also reload your entire courage bar for 70 diamonds.

But what does this glory do for you? Basically nothing. Glory is for bragging on how strong you are. But there are achievements for gaining particular glory levels, which may reward you diamonds, experience, notes, or skill points.

- How to chose your opponent to duel?

You can chose your opponent from the 'fist', by checking their stats, or from the glory ranking, where you can also see your opponents stats. You see their stats when you hover your mouse over an opponent:

Ur5u0sm.png

In the circles, you will also see your stats advantage or disadvantage over the other player, you can see their refinements, and the screen will also tell you what you will gain from a win, or lose when you lose the duel.

If someone is very close to your stats or far better, the screen will also inform you that you have increased chance on diamonds and items:

oznchF9.png

Since the update from 25-3-2019, you can now earn extra rewards doing duels.

When you hit 5 duels done, you get a tier 1 reward, after 10 duels you get a tier 2 reward, and afer 20 duels a tier 3 reward. These rewards change everyday, don't forget to refresh after reset, to update this.

7HMvGNK.png

v3oTePr.png

Current rewards are in the form of energy, diamonds, skillpoints, items.

- Someone is dueling me every day, am I being bullied?

Being dueled by someone or several players each day can be annoying, especially if you have no chance to win the duels. But please always remember, it's a part of the game. Most of the time players do not duel to bully or for revenge. They duel you for the glory, notes and items/diamonds.

I've come across a few friends outside my studio, that originally messaged me after being dueled or dueling me, and we got talking and became friends. I myself don't mind being dueled, as I see it as a test to improve. And who knows, since this game is about the long haul rather than a short burst, I might be able to get them back in a later stage and have my 'revenge'.

But at the end of the day: Big Bang Empire is a fighting game. It should be no surprise that other players are actually fighting you.

- What does work give?

Well, what do you work for in real life? Money!!!! To get rich! Well, hopefully haha.

Your toon actually works for you as well! Your avatar will get you extra notes, that you can spend on whatever you like. You can find your work area here:

Du7PUH8.png

When you open it, you can see a meter running. Every 5 minutes will get you another notch on the bar, and increases your collected notes.

vh1wx4p.png

The screen will inform you how much you have collected, how much you earn per hour and how long until the meter is full. Once the meter is full, it stops earning.

You can always cash out before hand, by clicking collect. You can do that at any time you wish. The small timer, just below the bar itself, runs down from 5 minutes to 0, and then resets. At the reset, the collected notes will increase.

Pro-tips on collecting:

  • Do this when the timer resets to 5 minutes.
  • If you actually log off, instead of simply closing your browser, the game checks if you have earned notes. If so, it gives you a reminder to collect your paycheck before heading home.

- Personal boosters, and what do they do? Do I need them?

Personal boosters make your Porn career life more convenient to you. You can find the boosters here:

MxqnCgH.png

When you open the screen, you can see the boosters you can chose from. There are 3 types of boosters, with  3 options each:

C1OJFbV.png

In the first column is the mission booster to shorten the time and required energy of your missions by xx%. You can complete more missions, faster, the higher the level of your mission booster.

The middle column is your Skill booster. This booster increases your basic skills by xx%.

The last column is your work booster, which increases your earned notes per hour by xx%, as well as increasing the upper limit of your work earnings.

You can boost using either diamonds or notes. Notes boosts last for 4 days, and give gains up to 25% For 99 diamonds you can boost for 50% for an entire week.

A small trick, for those that tend to forget their boosters: you can always pre-extend your booster to a maximum of 2 full rounds of their run time. So by clicking twice on the 50% boost, you pay 198 diamonds, and the boost will run for 2 whole weeks.  However, if you DO forget your boosters, the game will remind you the next time you log in.

Whether or not you need these boosters depends upon your play style, and where you have developed in the game.

  • The 25% boosters for notes are highly recommended for any player who logs in daily.
  • The mission boosters always work, they are invisible, and they help your character advance quickly. There is little downside to running the highest level you can afford.
  • The usefulness of the work boosters depend strictly upon how often, and how long, you log in.
  • Skill boosters work on your base skills, so early on, you get little benefit from them because you don't have much to boost. As you progress, however, skill boosts can be worth thousands of skill points. Most competitive studios will require players to run at least the 25% boosters.

- Studio boosters

Your studio bosses and producers may chose to run 1 or 2 extra boosters for the whole studio. These boosters you can find above your studio chat, right there:

xilYACB.png

When you open it, you can see the 2 types of studio boosters, that everyone in the studio can enjoy and takes advantage of:

593y1lO.png

The mission booster will reduce the time of your missions by 10%, but only the time, not the energy required!

The duel booster will give the whole studio 10% more winnings in the duels. This means 10% more notes and 10% more glory.

The boosters are bought with the diamonds from the studio itself, but you can always ask your leadership to run them and make a donation to the studio diamond box.

How to make films?

To make your very own Porn Film, start by clicking on the video camera icon in the bar at the bottom of the screen:

Et5jtFZ.png

You will be shown three film options, which you can choose from by clicking on the 'Take Offer' icon. You can preview the rewards you will get for the movie by hovering over the prizes icon. If you are not happy with the three choices you have been given, you can click on the 'refresh' icon in the top right (highlighted green), which will refresh all three film options for a cost of nine diamonds.

Once you are in the movie set, you simply complete tasks to earn movie points and create your movie:

dhdD74h.jpg

For every movie, you will be given three tasks to choose from (highlighted in green):

  • TASK - Simply uses a given number of Film Energy to reward a given number of Film Points
  • FIGHT TASK - Takes you to a duel, again using Film Energy and awarding Film Points
  • SKILL TASK - Will always be the skill task of the chosen film

Click on one of the three task icons, and you will be taken to a pop giving you information about that task.  Here you can move between the three tasks using the arrows at the top of the pop-up:

Wx69ndD.png

When you have chosen the task you wish to take, click on the 'Finish' button.

The pop-up shows you how much film energy you will spend on this task (green) and what rewards (red) you will receive when you complete the task.  These rewards include notes, exp, and most importantly points towards the completion of your film.

At the end of each task, you will be taken back to choose your next task, but note that the Film Completion Bar (See above) will show you how many more film points you require to complete the film.

Your film can reach 3 levels, 1, 2 or 3 stars.  When you get to each level, another pop-up box will come up.

1 Star Movie Gives you a chance to change the title of the film:

neBBvhb.png

We will talk about changing film titles in the next guide, which you can do here, or later, so its not too late to change if you move on at this stage.  The film title you are given is a randomly generated title.  When you click 'OK' you will continue to wards the next level.

2 Star Movie Gives you the chance to change your movie cover:

RTE7SZh.png

Again, more on changing the cover later.

3 Star Movie is a completed movie:

tsa6q8J.png

When complete, click on the 'OK' button to see how many fans you have gained with a final confirmation pop-up, where again you need to click on another 'OK' button:

WfRoual.png

You will find that you will run out of Film energy at least once (more if you do a longer film) and will get a message come up when there is not enough energy to complete a task:

sFOu0Rx.png

While you can wait for the energy to re-fill, you can also speed up the process by pending 5 diamonds to add 15 Film energy instantly.  As you play, your film energy will re-fill by 1 every minute, although do be aware that if you start a task mid-way through a minute countdown, that minute will start again once the task is completed!

Waiting for your energy saves you diamonds, but can cost you notes or even more diamonds if you forget about your movie in the background.  Don't forget your movie is timed, and when the movie timer expires, you may be left with only a 1 or 2 star movie, if you haven't completed it in time:

qrZBf2Q.png

You will be given the opportunity to pay either an amount of notes or diamonds to be given a 30 minute extension to complete the movie, which you can accept by clicking on the button for which ever choice of payment you wish to use.

How to change the title and cover of your film?

When you reach the 1 star and 2 star levels of creating your film, you get the chance to change your title and cover. You can do it immediately, but can also do so any time before you complete your film. When your film hits 3 stars, though, you can no longer change it.

By the film completion bar, you can see the current title and cover for your film.  By clicking on the 'COVER' or 'TITLE' buttons, you can change these at any time between their star level and 3 star level:

siMVUem.png

Changing Your Film Title

zXawEGS.png

You can change your film title in two ways:

  • Generate an alternative random title for 2 diamonds (Yellow). You can cycle random titles as often as you like until you find a suitable title, paying 2 diamonds per click.
  • Write your own custom title up to 50 characters long for 19 diamonds. (Please follow the Terms of Service for the game when using this option. If you submit a custom title to the Big Bang Awards, other players may report the cover. If the developers agree that your film cover is inappropriate, sanctions will be applied. Your film may get a forced random title, or in severe cases, your avatar may even be banned. This, however, is quite rare!)

fptiXnv.png

Changing Your Film Cover

Ff4Qxiv.png

Like your title, you can change your film cover randomly by clicking on the dice (red), or by making the individual changes yourself to personalize the cover the way you want it (green).  There are seven aspects of the cover you can change by scrolling through the arrows to the left or right of each title to the right of the cover:

  • Supporting Actor gives you a choice of co-stars, from male, female, and couples who can join you. There is also a no co-star option, if you are a solo act.
  • Layout will give you options of where the title will appear along with any additional layout items, including additional photos or special images.
  • Font gives you the opportunity to select the font style and colour of your title.
  • Cleavage is the positioning of you and your co-star(s) on the cover.
  • Background provides you with a wide range of different film settings
  • Border gives you an opportunity to choose the border for your film.  Some match the background style, others just look nice as they are!
  • Filter is a fun way to add a little extra to your cover if you wish.  This is where you can change the colour filter of the over, giving it a colour glow, making it black & white or giving the image an out of focus appearance!

All seven of these items have a selection of options that will cost notes and a selection that will cost diamonds.  The cost of each will show up as you click through (as shown above), and the total cost of changing your cover will show up below on the 'Change Cover' button.

If you are creating a film in a special film set during one of the special events, three hour films provide a special themed background.

Once you are happy with your cover, click on the 'Change Cover' button followed by the 'OK' button.

Please note, if you click on the 'OK' button before the 'Change Cover' button, your changes will not take place, and you will not be charged.

How many films can I make every day?

The number of films you can make is partly dependent on your studio and the trophies it holds.

Initially, every day, you have three film slots, giving you a minimum of three films per day, or 21 per week, which is the golden number for maximum exposure for your chosen film in the Big Bang Awards, but more about that coming up soon!

The maximum number of films you could make in a day is Eight, assuming your studio has Five Film Trophies.  So, how do you know how many trophies your studio has?

Simply head to the rankings tab ynPUXjO.png and go to the 'Studio' rankings:

py0BPmT.png

Depending on how much your studio has been expanded, it may be able to win up to five trophies, of which some may be Film trophies.  The Golden Dildo Trophy Symbol on the far right indicates if the studio has any trophies, and by hovering over this symbol, you will be able to see what they are:

MOevD0p.png

In this example, the studio has the maximum available five trophies of which two are Films.  With the three automatic films, every member of this studio would therefore be able to make five films every day.

To see how many more films you can make for the rest of the day, while you are waiting for your next film to be ready (as you have to wait an hour between making films unless you spend diamonds!), you will get a pop-up box on the Film screen showing how long until your next film, and how many more films you can still make:

What are the benefits of making films?

There are a number of benefits from making films.  These include earning a substantial amount of notes and experience, as well as the chance to win diamonds, skill points and items.

When choosing your film from the three options, you can hover over the awards icon or a pop-up to see what is waiting for you should you complete the three levels of the film:

Toec0nF.png

Every level of the film rewards you some notes and experience, and potentially other rewards.

In addition to rewards, you also gain new fans. Each level of the film increases the number of fans you gain. Fans are useful for parties and conventions.

3zaHdbR.png

To complete the stages, you must complete film tasks. Each film task awards you with notes and experience, but the important thing is the film points. You need to accumulate a certain number of film points to finish each stage of the movie.

1nE23ty.png

It is not mandatory that you finish all three stages of a movie. You can abandon it at any time. However, making three star movies allows you to participate in the Big Bang Awards! (More on that in the next FAQ.)

What is the Big Bang Award contest? How do I participate? BV6uXwl.png

Every week, the game runs a Film competition called the Big Bang Awards, also known as the BBAs.  This competition is open to every player in the game world. You need to produce at least one Film to three star rating. It is better to produce more than one, as the more three star films you make in a week, the more exposure your BBA entry will get in the following week. If you produce 21 or more three star films, you get the maximum exposure per week.

You can review the movies you have made each week by going to your movie set, then clicking on the icon shown.

R81c98u.png

This opens a screen to let you select the film cover that will represent you in the upcoming week's Big Bang Award.

WlZIHFi.png

By default, the first film you make in the week will be submitted to the BBAs. If you want to change the film that will appear in the BBAs, simply click on the 'Select' box next to it, and it will then become the one film that will be entered.

The competition begins at server reset on Monday morning, and runs through the whole week until server reset on the following Sunday night.  As the week goes on, lower performing films are eliminated from the competition.  By Saturday, only the top 100 films are left in the competition and on the final day, it is down to the top 50.

The Rankings list has a tab called 'Big Bang Awards', which is where you can keep a track of your film, your studio colleagues, and everyone else's films progress for the week:

FNcHKeG.jpg

When the competition ends, the next time you go to the film tab, you will get a pop-up box showing you how your film fared, including final placement, number of votes received, and your rewards.

GTMAlTw.png

You vote for films by finding missions that reward you with ballots. You can see the ballots on the overview screen.

6EzQtmb.png

When you find a mission which has a ballot paper (highlighted red), and you complete it successfully, you will be taken to a pop-up screen with two film covers.

2vuDilM.png

Vote for the one you like best by clicking the appropriate Vote button.

If you are not happy with either of the titles, you may change the films by spending 5 Diamonds and clicking on the 'Refresh' button. This will randomly change both film cover options. You can refresh the covers as many times as you like at the cost of 5 diamonds each time.

If one of the films is from a studio colleague, it will give the highlighted icon above the film.

Also now in the new update, if a film title is custom made, it will show as well, like in the picture above

If one or both of the titles have a custom title created by the player (as opposed to the random title supplied by the game), there will also be a link to report the film (highlighted blue.) This provides the voter an opportunity to report the film if the title is offensive. The support team will then investigate and take any relevant action.

NB - Repeated false reporting in an attempt to harass other players or to swing the BBA competition may lead to sanctions against the voter

What is a studio? Why are they important?

At it's most basic definition, a studio is where up to thirty players work together to socialize, to play, and to build better characters.

The studio is where most of the socializing is done within Big Bang Empire. It also provides important benefits for it's members, in the form of faster missions and more rewards. Studios start off fairly weak, and don't do a lot for their members. Investing into the studio eventually makes it a powerful source of benefits.

The studio is visible in the bar in the form of an icon with a bed. (Where else would porn stars socialize?)

9MPFsjN.png

There are a lot of aspects to a studio. The following FAQ items will cover them in great detail.

It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you create a studio, or join one, for the best in-game experience!

- Creating your own studio

The development of a brand new studio is quite rewarding, but it is not without cost. A fully developed studio costs approximately $500, and there will be on-going costs for studio fights, studio boosters, and other maintenance items. Some players are willing to take on the financial aspects on their own, but usually groups of players decide to pitch in together.

So you have decided to make a studio. Best of luck to you!

First, click on the studio icon we showed you above.

9MPFsjN.png

This brings up a screen with a pointer to the Big Bang Empire forums, and also allows you to create a studio or search for one. Let's set up a new one, and start climbing the ladder to glory!

HJLhZie.png

Click the Create Studio button to start your journey. You need to name your studio next.

alDpJCE.png

A studio name is required. (Mind that your name stays within the Terms of Service for your server!)

Your studio description can be anything you want (as long as it stays within TOS) but is most commonly used as a recruiting pitch. Other players will check out your description, and it may entice them to join you.  On the other hand, nothing says "disinterested boss" quite as effectively as no updates to the studio description.

You can mark your studio as accepting requests to join with the check mark shown in blue.

And now the exciting moment has come! You need 500 notes to start your studio. Click on the button to pay your start-up fee, and you are a studio!

pkwLdeo.png

Note that whoever creates the studio becomes the initial boss. The boss is the only player who can do certain things in the studio, and is a very important position. We will talk more about that later, but one of the things only a boss can do is create the studio logo.

jmKpAkj.png

There are several attributes you can modify of your studio logo:

Shape - The border or outside edge of the logo, here a film strip.

Motif - The picture inside the Shape, here a picture of two porn stars doing their jobs

Size - This modifies the size of the motif within the shape.

Color - The three color squares (from left to right) control the color of the shape's background, the shape's border, and the motif's color.

There is a wide variety of shapes and motifs. Some of them cost notes, some of them diamonds. The costs are summarized to the bottom left.

When your motif is ready, and you are able to pay the price for the initial logo, press the Change button, and your studio is created!

Note that many bosses go with the default, no cost logo at first. This allows other players to join and add to the studio treasury, sharing the cost of upgrading the logo at a later time.

What is the friends list, and how does it interact with studio members?

Below the activity bar, you will find a friend's list. This shows all the members of your studio, plus other players you may have befriended:

pzLjmMK.png

You can click on a friend's portrait in your list to open their player profile. (Not all friends on your list have to actually be friends. Many players use the friend's list to make it easy to find dueling targets, for example.)

Player's in your friend's list also show up by default in the list of people to whom you can send battery requests.

To befriend other players, open up their player profile. To the right hand side, you will see the player description and a toggle box to add or remove the player from your friend's list.

36jlVnG.png

Studio members are automatically in your friend's list. If a player leaves your studio, and you have not explicitly put a check mark in this box, the player will also leave your friend's list.

The Add a Friend control allows you to introduce real life friends to the game. If you succeed in getting your friend to sign up, you can earn a referral bonus for your character!

You can do this via sending the friend an email:

Y3AMjLm.png

...or by creating a personalized link that you can include in other forms of communication:

4W7FlEv.png

All the best to you and your friends!

Members, producers and bosses... what do they do?

The members in a studio are divided into 3 groups:

- Boss (gold trophy)

- Producers (silver token aka the blue smurfs)

- Members (bronze trophy)

1iuoWy4.png

All studios have all three groups.

There is always one, and only one, boss. Creating a studio makes the creator the first boss. The boss has the most powers. Bosses can change the logo for the studio, kick members and producers, promote players to boss or producer, demote bosses and producers, set studio fights, extend studio boosters, set cakes and doubles for the fights, drop trophies, change the appearance of the studio, expand the studio facilities, and may delete the studio. The boss can also invite other players to join the studio, and is the only player to see when other player's request to join the studio.

Below the Boss are the producers. They are generally the support team for the boss. Producers can kick members, invite other players to join the studio, set studio fights, change studio name, extend studio boosters, set cakes and doubles for the fights, drop trophies, change the studio appearance, and expand the studio facilities.

The last group is the members. There are usually more members than the other two groups. These players have no particular studio powers, which means they are free to just play the game without responsibilities!

Each and every level of the members are important. Without a captain a boat can't sail, therefor a boss is always needed. A good boss and producer team keep everyone happy in the studio. Poor bosses and producers generally find themselves without a studio for long, as their players leave for more fun studios.

See FAQ entries below, for more details about how bosses and producers can use their powers.

Chat screen and chat channels

Next to the studio info/member list, there is the most fun part of the studio: The chat screen!

The chat screen has different colours and prompts for different types of chat.

sGiO1zc.png

Modal chats.  Once you enter the following modes, all further text you type will stay in that mode.  The prompt in your chat line tells you what mode you are in.

  • Studio chat Prompt is in white, "To studio".  The text you type will be displayed with your character's name in green, with white text. All players can see everything typed into Studio Chat. By default, logging into the game, you will be typing into the global studio chat.  To enter studio chat, you can enter the command /studio, /s, /g or /t.  (Abbreviations for studio, guild, team)

  • Private chat  Prompt is in light blue, "To <player name>". The text you type will be displayed with "<your player name> to <other player name>" in light blue, with the text in white. Only the named <other player> can see what you type. To enter private chat, use the "/to <playername>" or "/w <player name>" command. (Abbreviation for "whisper".)  You can also enter private message mode by clicking on a player's name in the chat screen.

It is called an "oopsie" if you post something intended as private, to studio chat. Oopsies are  occasionally quite entertaining!  But if you prefer not to be embarrassed, be careful about who is going to see what you type!

  • Producer chat Prompt is in purple. Text is displayed with your avatar name in purple, with white text. The boss and all producers can see everything typed into producer chat. To enter producer chat, use /advisor (abbreviated to /a) or /officer (abbreviated to /o).

There is one other type of player created message. Emote Messages are created using the Emote command. Emote messages are displayed as orange text in whichever level of chat you are currently engaged in. That is, if you are in studio chat mode, the entire studio will see your emote message. If you are in private chat, only the specific player will see your emote message. Note that emote messages automatically prepend the character name to the front of the text. To display the orange text in the above example, dparadise was in studio mode, and then typed: "/me adds an S to the end in that case lol." and the result in chat was "dparadise adds an S to the end in that case lol."

Entering @<name of player> creates a link in chat for that player's profile. Clicking on the link will open the player's profile. This can be used to point out easy to defeat opponents for your studio to gang-duel, or more benignly, to show off your avatar's new outfit, description or room decorations.

Entering "<name of a studio>" creates a link in chat for that studio profile. Again, useful for showing off a new studio logo, look or description.

Finally, the game may tell you things in the chat screen as well. Studio notifications are the gold/yellow text in the above example. Many things put notifications into chat, such as a big win in the casino, the results of studio fights, diamond and note donations to the studio, etc. You can turn these on or off by typing /events

If you forget the commands, you can hover over the prompt for the text entry to display a quick reminder.

L0XnaxQ.png

And most important, what are chats without smileys/emoticons? So the game features a lot of creative, funny and game related emoticons for you to use, which you can find on the right side of the chatbar:

Studio description, notes, logo, appearance and name; Can you still change these later?

When other players look at your studio, your studio has a particular appearance, with the studio name, logo and description displayed.

a97SqFF.png

Studio producers and the studio boss can change the Description, the Name, and the Studio Appearance (shown in orange above). Only the studio boss can change the studio logo (outlined in red).

To change the studio logo, the boss clicks on the logo itself. This brings up the same screen the boss used to create the initial logo during studio creation. The boss uses the same procedure described in the Studio Creation FAQ.

jmKpAkj.png

Producers and the boss change the studio description by clicking on the description tab in studio chat, then clicking the text itself.  Then just edit the text as necessary.

A very similar procedure is used to change the studio notes.  Studio notes are just like the description, except that players outside the studio cannot see them.

R1P3pPH.png

tQbYKAM.png

Producers and the boss may also change the studio name. Click on the studio name itself to bring up a change screen. Note the cost!

iJQyBwH.png

Lastly, the studio appearance can be customized using the icon shown on the studio information screen.

oNOJZkW.png

As studios grow, they can gain free customizations. In this example, the studio has three customizations that can be applied at no cost. Other customizations will have diamond or note costs. Those costs must be paid by the studio treasury.

Click on the customization icon to see your possible choices. Use the scroll arrows on the left to modify elements of the studio appearance. The cost of each element is listed, with a cost summary. Elements that have free customizations are noted with a starred number. The portion of the appearance modified by each element is shown below.

When the appearance and cost are acceptable, click on the "Change" button. Enjoy the new studio look!

Studio Treasury and Donations

Your studio has a treasury of diamonds and of notes. When building up your studio, you will find you need quite a few of both.

The costs of anything related to the studio comes out of the studio treasury. The 1000 diamonds needed to change the studio name must come from the Treasury, for example.

Any player in the studio may make donations at any time.  To make a donation to the studio, click the indicated button on the Studio Information panel.

VxirNNz.png

This brings up the Donation screen. Enter the amount of diamonds and notes you want to donate to the studio, and press the "Donate" button.

rTkFcp3.png

Important!  Once you click the donate button, the notes and diamonds cannot be returned to the player. Double check your numbers carefully!

Also important!  You cannot donate diamonds that you have found in the game. You can only donate diamonds to the studio that you have actually purchased.

After you make the donation, it is reflected in the treasury, and a notification is placed in chat detailing your generosity!

31beFvI.png

(Of course, this often brings out the jokesters in your studio.)

WYF9YV4.png

If a studio officer attempts to purchase something, and there is not enough resources in the studio treasury, the donation screen comes up. The officer may choose to make up the shortfall, or cancel the purchase.

Deleting A Studio

Make sure you actually want to do this. Deleting a studio is permanent. All diamonds and notes in the treasury are lost, as well as all film history and studio upgrades.

Only the studio boss can delete a studio. The boss opens up the studio members list, then selects their own character, then opens the Member Options.

cgkqDnw.png

The members option screen should have an option to delete the studio.

d6JF8xE.png

If you click the Delete Studio button, you must confirm your decision.

5ILiZmk.png

Click yes to delete the studio forever.

A studio that has outstanding fights, either attacks or defenses, can indeed be deleted. The other studio will be notified that you chickened out and deleted your studio before the fight.

Trophies held by a deleted studio are removed from the game temporarily. They will be redistributed randomly to the winners of future studio fights.
