Was the most appropriate title I could think of for this post.....

 

I was curious how many other studios deal with something similar to this, obviously I have censored the names except my own, as to protect people.

 

But seriously what were they expecting

My only question is: Why was this person promoted in the first place?

 

I hope their responses are tongue in cheek.

Kinda glad that player didn't make his/her way to our studio.. teehee..

That's why you always should ask members before promote them and also tell producers to do so.

Well the member is always asked by the boss if they want to become a producer, and the thing we see sometimes is a player is doing really well within the studio, so giving them the chance to have more of a role with things in the studio.

 

In the past we have had a few players leave because they were offered a producer spot in another studio, so yeah it can be hard to see what the motivation is and if it is worth giving someone the spot, but live and learn.

I wouldn't worry too much Caitlin, you and your crew are doing all you can to promote a good playing atmosphere there... Everyone finds a few bad apples in the bunch, though

We just try to slowly build, and eventually certain players will drop off and new ones will join, eventually we will get the mix right

The only thing I can add to this is that it's hard to be a boss.
