I apologize if this has been previously discussed, but I found it nowhere.

I would like to be able to view if there are any success progressions available in the area where I am already without having to go to the map. Currently, it is kind of a seemingly unnecessary hassle at to go to the map, check for yellow tablets, click on one, evaluate, go back to map, click on the next one, evaluate, go back to map.... and so on, especially when you have multiple available in the same area. I should be able to know which missions in that area have a success progression related to them by just "hovering" over the missions. Also, this is relevant after a mission is complete and you're returned to an area. It would be nice not to have to go to the map and see if a yellow tablet is available, only to discover there is one in the area you just departed.

I agree we should have that...

And I'm surprised it has indeed not been suggested before.

The current setup is handier than how it used to be (which was wet-finger-in-the-wind).

But it's still a tedious thing to constantly have to go back to the overview map.

When you're already IN a city and you keep getting sent back to that city map anyway...

It would make sense to immediately see there if there's a success (or party) mission.

On the city map, I think that would mean appending tablets or ticket icons to the four mission icons. And I agree, that would be very useful, so I don't have to jump to the overview map.

On the overview map... well, what it already gives is sufficient to me. If there are only a few missions left to do for an achievement, I take that one. Otherwise, I take the one with the kind of reward I want. Generally skills, then items, then energy. (YMMV)

My claim would be that the overview map is fine, it lets you see if there is something to check out in a particular area. If the expanded detail existed in the city map, then you can jump there and easily make your comparisons.

It would indeed make little sense to take it away from the overall map and only show it in city maps.

Showing it on both is possible I think without it being too cluttered...

The "special event missions" also always get a special look in the city maps.

I figure the same could be done for success missions with an easy to interpret symbol,

like with a little + to the mission icon when it's a skill point success mission and so on...

Another option would be on the mission select symbol - adding another item underneath it that was selectable/mouse over display for such things. Kind of like the equipment has an icon to display if it is part of an unfinished collection set.

Even a basic summary of which progress challenge it was your progress and the reward listed in the Mission Rewards section would be good enough for me though.

I'd personally prefer using the same icons already in use on the overview map. We already know what they mean.

But marking it somehow on the city map is more important than exactly what they use.

On mobile devices, there is no actual overview map. If you click on the map icon, a tab opens up that lists all the unlocked areas together with the different events/tasks/item rewards that are available in that area. You can click on the yellow notes/items and check out the details of the tasks at hand or the stats of the offered item. You also see where you can find ballot missions. So it’s basically works like the overview map, without the animation and the need to exit a particular area first. If you want to go to a different area, you just have to select it from the list and then click on the "Travel Now" button. You can also go straight up to a particular listed mission this same way.

Another highlight of the mobile version of the game are the quicker simulations of the fights. However, there also certain things lacking, like the ability to preview the look of you star whit different collection items on or to find out all the information that normally requires you to hover over something with a mouse.

you can use the puffin browser app on your phone and view the game in desktop mode. it has a a trackpad available where you can hover just like the real deal. also, for those long nights at work you can get a usb otg adapter (most newer phones are compatible) and simply plug your mouse into your phone. typing is a pain on that app, because even if you plug a real keyboard into your phone a big giant one will pop up and take over most of your screen once you start typing. fortunately, though, in this game a keyboard isn't necessary most of the time. i recommend getting the adapter from the internet. i got mine (open-box discount for a fair price) at best buy, but generally best buy and wal-mart are overpriced af on them. very cheap online.

note: the puffin app will not save your username and password, so try to keep screen open longer or have your email on your clipboard to quickly copy/paste for easy log-in.

I'm for it :)

Often, I see on the overhead map that there are more than a single mission that is part of a success. Even if I note what they all are before clicking one, there's no way to tell which was the other if I decide I'd rather not do the one I clicked. I have to then go back to the map and click one of the others. I'm willing to live with it looking more cluttered inside the city map to be able to see that info from there.

Just a casual now
