I am going to hold this note to talking about sex shop improvements. Let's discuss trophy related items elsewhere.

 

So, on the Sex Shop:

 

I already can find epic items in the sex shop. It's rare. It's usually for diamonds, but sometimes for notes. When I am filling inventory slots for selling temples, i will buy any epics that show up for notes.

 

The new suggestions I see are that 1) gold-framed items be found in the sex shop, for a diamond cost, and 2) that multiple slots for different grades of missiles be found in each sex shop refresh.

 

How many people agree with those suggestions?

do away with the gold frame, not worth a bean in temple and rarely worth anything sp wise.

I don't think I would take advantage of gold frame items for more diamonds (assuming you mean 49 or 199 diamonds as some things are) but some people might. I seem to get enough of them in other ways. Right now, I'm having to toss things that aren't to make room for those that are. I understood they are worth more for sell temple. Has that changed? If it has, I will sell off for different criterea. More missile options would be nice. It would be real nice if there were a general purpose low or zero bonus type for notes in those options.

Gold frame items are almost always epic. You get 7 points for the epic item, plus an additional 3 points for the gold border, for a total of 10 points.

The Sex Shop could be looked at.  Yes, it benefits starting characters but becomes useless shortly thereafter.  But after level 30, I would say that it is a waste of time to look at for making the character better.  I would use it for skill missions but I've replaced those with epic for the selling challenge.  CaptC, most of these players are above level 200 and are in UK2 in this discussion and are looking for something positive in the shop but not finding it.  I don't know if breaking down the shop would be better or not but it is boring to go there to get missiles and see the same kind of items coming in.  I would say the shop has more purpose up to level 30 but is worthless after that.  I can't speak for UK1 like you can.  We are just looking for ways to have some fun and be challenged here and there.

I have two 350+ level avatars. If the items got better, without being too unbalanced such that people with big budgets can just buy whatever they need... Sure.

 

I just really fail to see why the Sex Shoppe should be an easy place to find more. From parties, movies and missions, I have more +skills equipment coming in than I can refine already.

 

That's OK, reasonable people can agree to disagree.

I think the argument for the Sex Shop is that it needs to be redesigned now because items are now becoming more abundant than before.  If you can be successful in the parties, then you can get several free items to choose from.  It's only real function is getting weapons.  The items there are fairly worthless now to look at.  Maybe can get some missiles in a party.  It's almost a waste of space.  True, you don't want players having an advantage but it is going to be used less and less as time goes on with some of the changes being made as the developers seem to be making changes to give more random items.  I'd rather see what picture is than look at the worthless items.

After about level 30, the items are generally useless. I suspect that it for game play balance reasons. So unless you are a rank beginner, that's not why to go there. 

 

The sex shoppe exists to tempt you with mystery boxes, and to generate patterns. That is not strictly a waste of space. I argue the expectation is the problem, not the feature.

And how often do the mystery boxes and other specials show up...?  They are limited time things.  That isn't a good argument to keep the shop around for that.  I'm just saying that it's a waste of space most of the time.  When they do those things, then bring it back to a point.  It's not enough to keep all those items in there.  It's rare to get anything needed for a collection or anything of use.  It's borrriiiing

I think some of your criticisms are unfair.

 

Sex Shop: It's not for players who have been in the game for a while. Beginners love it, old-timers don't get much out of it. That is the nature of almost any equipment shop, in any game. You can find patterns, but very quickly, it is not the place to go to power up your character.  After all, if all you have to do is buy better gear without playing for it, power creep is all there is to the game.

 

Movie Trophies: The good and bad of movie trophies has been dealt with extensively elsewhere. I will say that after the bias has been removed from the Big Bang Awards, I think movie trophies are much improved over their initial implementation. I freely admit, both my studios are strong enough to hold movie trophies, so I like them. Gaining that strength has not been accidental, though - and the high studio fight penalties allow a lot of studios the opportunity to beat us if they want to.

 

Players Leaving: It may come as a surprise to you, but people leave the game all the time, for a variety of reasons. (Nor is this unique to Big Bang Empire.) These things tend to go in waves. A studio may be hit with a succession of retirements... and for the remaining members of that studio, the sky is falling, but that is just part of any social game. It is true that some servers are not gaining new players fast enough to compensate.. and on those servers, the view of the overall health of the game can be discouraging. But other servers are quite healthy... so where you are matters a lot to whether you see doom and gloom, or a bright competitive game.

lol cap i forget a lot to try to remember a 3 hour film now that's a tough one i have let many of them run out ,anyway not much we can do if the Germans are sleeping on this temple i'll bet it means convention and they didn't want to scare everyone off .
