Ever slapped a studio mate (duel)just for doing something stupid? lol

It's not my normal MO. I usually wouldn't, but I have now and then. The person I described in the other thread about sex chat was one. In cases like that, it probably don't happen enough.

I felt the need again today. after sending a studio mail heads up about an incoming fight, person replies asking for a special text to let them know what time because they 'didn't know if they'd be free'

I'm not your personal secretary, or your mother *slap :P

While I have been known to slap someone with a wet trout in Internet Relay Chat (IRC)...

I cannot say I have dueled a studio mate for being a bit extra needy; it hasn't actually come up.  Sometimes we have international players in the studio and a question or two will come along where I completely misinterpret  what is being asked, but in the end, I probably would have sent the extra info.

I'm not sure what that says about me.  (smug)

I remember irc chat and the trouts, lol I sent the necessary info. I still slapped them though :P

But I was initiated that way. I sent a request to join studio. 5 seconds later I heard that sound that tells you someone dueled you. I looked and it was the studio boss I just mailed. Then I heard the mail and there was the invite. My behind was sore. Now, I'm up a few levels on them and I could do the same to them but probably wouldn't unless I changed studio for some reason.

I've done stuff I probably should be slapped for, like selling my 100% salt boots even after putting them away so I wouldn't do that, or re-rolliing a task for skill points because I thought the task was dumb

I got slapped by a studio member once, but she did it as a complete accident, and now I am so much above her I do not have the heart to slap her back, but all in all I have never had the need to slap a studio member, though I came close once to a one timer who joined the studio, and proceeded to ask if I was a actual porn star in real life, or implying that when we are online we are doing some kind of online sex together, there should be like some kind of super smack you can use that flattens them in a single hit, and leaves it ringing in their ears for the next 3 days

Well, could be just the way some people play, like I've heard of rock bands that punch each other when  someone screws up in a rehearsal.

I've also noticed occasionally when using the duel page that I'm dueling with people I know. I've made some friends and battery buddies from that. Recently, I realized that Cait is often on the page as well as Bigbadwolf who posts often, so I've probably dueled them both a bunch of times before I realized it. Um, thanks for the diamonds and gear, ya'all, lol.

I wonder if it wouldn't be worth a suggestion to assign a color to friends; a different color than for studio mates if they are on that page so that they can also be avoided. I really don't get why studio mates are included there since you can't attack them from that page.

That dueling list basically just shows you who's online at the time.

Some stronger and some weaker than you.

It's more convenient to actually use the ranking list.

I think the purple color should include studio mates and people on your friends list.

Point is it's an inconsistency and it's taking up a slot that could be filled by another person. when I first learned what the purple color was about it was because I'd clicked a photo, not looking at the names (I'm horrible about that) and nothing happened. Nothing, No error message or anything to tell  me "Hey doof *slap, that's someone from your studio!" I finally looked at the list and the light came on.But you can pick them from the rank list or from your icons at the bottom and attack from there. If attacking them is blocked one place, shouldn't it be everywhere?

On one star I told a friend in the studio go ahead and duel me if they were not worried about the glory. I was trying to show them the new footwear I had and for some reason their window wasn't allowing a full view from my profile page. I also attacked a very high level friend once on my old star when I was brand new just to see if I could do any damage at all. Nope, lol. It was basically *splat. I messaged them and said thanks for the spanking and they were like "why did you attack me? I'm 200 levels higher"

I probably should have been slapped again for being so silly. :D

When I see the purple, I don't even try to hit them.  I didn't know you actually COULD NOT hit them. (or did I read that wrong) (smug)

It's just a dead click. It does nothing. It doesn't start a duel or give any message. I thought the game was messing up at first

It would be funny to have a message like

This star is a member of your studio. Really attack?

and answer choices of...

[oops, better not]   [sure! What could possibly go wrong!]

Thanks Eileen. I didn't realize you couldn't duel your studio mates in the dueling list. I've never tried so was unaware of it. Very interesting. I think I'll go try it now  (grin)

You can certainly attack a studiomate from the duel list. Most studios have rules against doing so. And at one point the game didn't even differentiate players but after enough complaints, studiomates became displayed in a different colour to let players know. It used to be a pain to try to remember who was in your studio before attacking. The game will allow you to attack a member of your studio but you're sure to get a nasty message in your inbox.  :(

Hmm. maybe the game was having a bad hair day that day when I got the dead clicks. I did realize what the deal was and didn't attack them.

Myself, I would most often not even know if a person from my studio attacked. I don't pay any attention to incoming attacks. I barely blink at the list when it pops up and find it more of an annoyance than anything.

Yes, one of my Dear (ie; no, several of my contact in fact) quite enjoy either light or heavy SM play, so it happened quite some time.

Given the lack of rp tools and features, using what is available is quite useful (still, the first time, she was more advanced than me, so, I ended up loosing that fight, no surprise out there it is ? :P).

Adaptation and care, as to discipline, it could be Ive not seen enough but as there is no way to send anything to anyone, how can one be "needy" ? No need to reply as Im both open & curious, guess Ill know at some point in time.
