This is my attempt at a glossary of terms used on Big Bang Empire.

Feel free to comment if I missed something, or you have a better definition. :)

A

Achievements
You are rewarded for completing certain tasks. These are listed in the 'Your Successes' page.

Atelier
A workshop or studio, especially one used by an artist or designer.
Misty's Atelier is where to add refinements to items. Found in the shop.

B

Ballot
Used for voting on a film for the Big Bang Awards. Found in some missions.

Battery, primary
Used for reducing remaining mission time by 50%, up to four times a day. The remote control icon at the lower right on mission pages. You can use two batteries on the same mission, in order to quickly finish it.

BBA
Big Bang Awards. The 3-star rated films of the previous week can be voted on in the awards. Ballots can be found in missions. There are rewards for the  100 films. The films are made in film shoots.

BBE
    Big Bang Empire.

Booster
Boosters for players are at Boosters page, studio boosters are found at 'Your Studio'.
Player boosters can reduce the length and energy needed for missions(mission booster), increase basic skills (skill booster), or increase your income and the maximum amount you can collect while working (work booster).
Hunting instinct can also be found on the boosters page.

C

Cake

Also used: Shot cake.
In a studio fight, the top five players that have signed up can each use one cake. They are used for the first attack, and can do a lot of damage. The boss or producers can buy them with studio diamonds.

Casino
A place that pops up occasionally, for two days at a time, where you can win prizes. The first game is free each day, and each following game costs 10 chips, which can be found in missions while the casino is open.

Collection
A set of clothing items that can make outfits. There are rewards for having a number of items of a collection.

Convention
    Also used: con.
An occasional event where you can complete missions to get notes and experience.

D

Deleted
Accounts are removed after 105 days (more than 3 months) of inactivity. They have (deleted) after the username if seen in the duel list, or on email messages.

Diamonds
Used to buy certain items, boosters, outfits and more. Some things can only be bought or paid for with diamonds. Can be earned in missions, duels and film shoots; or bought in the Diamond shop.
Only those bought in Diamond shop can be donated to your studio.

DickStarter
    Also used: DS.
A list of daily and weekly missions for rewards of notes, items, experience or skill points.

Double
In a studio fight, players who have not signed up can have a double take their place. The boss or producers can buy them with studio diamonds.

Duels
Player versus player fights. Rewards include notes and glory, sometimes diamonds or items.

E

Energy
Used for missions. You get 100 free energy each day, and can pay for more.

Experience
    Also used: XP, Experience points.
Earned in missions. When you earn enough experience, you gain a level.

F

Fans
Gained by making films. Longer 3-star films give the most fans. Parties require a certain number of fans. At conventions, the number of fans you have determine the number of visitors you get in a show.

Films
Made in film shoots and may be voted for in the Big Bang Awards.

G

May also refer to a chest item that covers the legs as well, with the text 'When you wear an "Outfit" your leg wear can't be seen'.

P

Parties
A set of 12 missions available at three locations, which are unlocked with fans. Completing a party gives a collection item.

Primary batteries
Used for reducing mission time by 50%, up to four times a day. The remote control icon at the lower right on mission pages.

NiceLee,

What a great idea, especially if someone has just joined the game and trying to understand what each part means, as I know when I first joined a lot of things confused me somewhat, but if you can, can you add the studio parts Doubles and Cakes, even now I am not sure exactly what they are about.

But once again a awesome write up

Normally, players who have not signed up for a studio fight, do not fight at all when your studio is attacking, and fight at 50% penalty to skills when your studio is defending. Players will fight at full strength, even if not signed up, when doubles are active for a studio fight. One double is used per avatar affected, up to the maximum number of doubles available. Note that if you do not have enough doubles to activate everyone, the lowest levels will use up the doubles first.

Doubles can be purchased using studio diamonds, by the boss and by producers. They are available at a discounted price when purchased 100 doubles at a time.

Cakes, when active for a studio fight, can be thrown by up to five players in the studio. If there are five cakes in the studio inventory, the last five players to fight will throw cakes. These are special attacks that replace the player's first normal attack.  Cakes do tremendous damage, and can often swing close studio fights. Cakes are apparently strength-based attacks.

Cakes can be purchased using studio diamonds by bosses and producers. They are never discounted.

The ability to use cakes and doubles on a regular basis (IE, having access to the necessary studio diamonds) is one characteristic of high level studios. Most fights between top 10 studios will have one or both studios using them. In any close contested fight, both cakes and doubles will be on for both studios.

The biggest problem with posting information like a glossary here, is that the original poster will quickly be unable to edit the glossary.  If you want to add new definitions or change old ones, let me know nicelee.

Thanks, I didn't know about editting posts.
I knew that I would forget some things, especially if I don't have much experience with them.
I did know about using two batteries on the same mission, I will add that. (I was going to write 2 batteries 1 mission, but that has connotations.)
Thanks for the information on cakes and doubles, I may use it for studio info page, with a few sentences for this glossary.

Cake
Also used: Shot cake.

I modified the text for the batteries a bit, to make it explicit that using two batteries reduces overall mission time by 75%... it is not an instant completion.

Other than that, done.

Thanks. I did not know that. I have not actually used 2 diamonds on a normal mission, only con missions.

I was told that unfinished convention missions don't count, so I only use 2 batteries on a con mission if the time left was not enough for just one battery. When used on a con mission, it is like a no diamond, not so instant finish.

When I use batteries 2x (back to back, in the same mission), it completes the mission immediately.  Always.

No problem. I had wondered about it before I first tried it. Mathematically speaking 50% of the remaining half would be 25%, so a total of 75 for 2 batteries. But I like how it is all finished instead.
