I'm not sure if i'm posting in the right spot for sure or not, but here it goes:

 

We had our first brand new temple challenge this previous week with another one to follow (obviously) for this temple as well.

 

While i am absolutely not complaining here, I was just wondering if we should 'expect' more unique challenges to come about in the future with Temple?

Hi Amy, this is a fine spot to discuss...

 

An announcement was made in the last patch of the game, Patch notes 2017-03-07 where the first NEW FEATURE mentioned:

 

• New temple tasks are available, which will be allocated to the studios in the upcoming weeks. 

 

And true to their word, the last 2 Temple challenges have been new and unique.  The one we had 2 weeks ago, was interesting, as it had a tier scoring system for producing skill missions with an emphasis on producing STAMINA missions.

 

Here's a run-down of all the Temple Challenges, and the number of times each has been conducted -- including the one we are doing now:

it was unique indeed. Even if you didn't measure up on a mission, you still got a point for it. Tell the devs to keep up the good work and i'll wait in anticipation for the next ones to come out.

The temple events have been pretty good since, BUT there certainly have been a lot of skill type missions.  I think it is a good idea to have some of these, BUT having them all the time isn't aiding a lot of people complete successes either.  We are forced to do a skill type mission.  I would suggest tying progress of success missions (the yellow note tied to success missions) to the skill missions when you have these types of temple missions.

 

Also, with so may different type of temples available and even more that could happen (like one where you have to spend notes for example) I think you could be more varied as we haven't seen selling items or winning duels in a long while.  I can probably speak for a lot of people when I say that ALL 10 of my storage tabs are full of epic items.

Thanks for your contribution.

 

I tend to agree.  We have had 29 weeks of Temple challenges (counting the one we are in as of today, Thu Apr 20, 2017), and while the devs are trying to add variety to Temple some of the "similar" challenges feel similar because they are. All of the STRENGTH, STAMINA, CHARISMA, and FINESSE Temple Challenges are still Skill-based missions.  BTW, Charisma based temple has not happened yet. Based on current patterns, expect that one to show up 2 weeks from now.  We shall see.

 

Likewise, all of the hunt for the Rare Silver Coins or the Precious Silk Sheets missions are the same "find an item" mission.

 

To your point, we have not held a SELL ITEMS temple in 9 weeks and WINNING DUELS was last conducted 12 weeks ago.  They've got to be coming up some time soon, maybe before the next Skill based mission, right?

 

One thing that is interesting is the choices you make when deciding to go for completing a success (or the new d.starter campaigns), OR helping your fellow studio out on Temple.  I personally help the studio first, because there is no better way to earn diamonds for your studio (other than buying them and donating them yourself) than making Temple Challenge a success.

 

If you break down all the temple types (so far), there are a total of 8 unique experiences:

1. Making Movies
2. Convention Showings (most everyone's least favorite)
3. Regular Missions (Time, Fight, Skill)
4. Party Ticket Missions
5. Winning Duels
6. Selling Items
7. Gaining Experience Points
8. Finding Items (Coins, Sheets, etc)

It's cute alright.

But after 7 days it doesn't feel so awful they've gone extinct.

We got over the cuteness very quickly. We had a running joke in studio chat for all of last week about how our traps were actually catching, and disposing, of all the pandas we collected.

AAAANNNND..... it is back!  After a 12 Week Hiatus!  And not since Feb 22, 2017, SELL ITEMS, Temple Challenge is BACK!

 

Our wardrobes were bursting with useless EPIC ITEMS waiting to be sold.

 

Sell like there is no tomorrow, to earn Studio points for your like-minded studio-mates!

Even though it’s my first selling temple, I’ve been waiting for it a long time. Glad that I could finally do some cleaning. Nevertheless I still won’t sell some of my favorite clothes. Others I’m keeping for now to use during skill missions and parties. I will sell those later, if I see that it can make some difference and gain our studio a better reward. For the clothes that I did already sell during the first day, I got 165 points (I have only 2 storage tabs available), in case anyone was wondering and wanted to compare.

I thought we have a brand new Temple task this week on UK2 - collecting points for successful party missions. But looking at Tara's list, I see that it's an old one coming back after a long time (didn't experience it myself before). Anyway, during the convention Temple, there's always more conventions happening than usually, so I hope to see more party tickets in the next few days as well.

Btw, I like the clothes of the hot nun who's sort of a mascot of this Temple. I would like if my star could have the same clothes too. It would be a perfect match for those odd cover titles generated by the game that mention prayers.
