That is an interesting question indeed.
The cost should not be any higher than the one it's supposed to be. However, if I had to guess, I think there might be some small fee that your bank charges (or some company in between) for the purchase.

I use my debit card to buy diamonds but the cost always seems a bit higher than what the original cost is.
What is the proper cost for buying diamonds from Australia? I usually buy the 1,013 pack.
