Hi all I am a newbie just been playing a couple of weeks and i am unsure of something. 

 

Can anyone explain what the gold border around the box that contains a wardrobe item means. 

 

I assume that it means that this is the strongest item or a maxed epic item but in reality i have no clue if this is correct.

 

I would love an answer to this.

The Gold Border around a item, denotes that it is a SUPER EPIC item.  The Purple items are EPIC, Blue items are RARE and White items are COMMON. A Super Epic can be refined the same way a Common, Rare and Epic are.

Really?  I actually thought it meant it was an item obtained as a reward for being a TOP 10 finisher in a Convention which is where I first saw them.  It's been happening for the last two months or so.  But with the recent Party Missions challenge, I might have gotten a few "super-epics" that way too.
