How does the sewing machine work? I've tried but I can't seem to use it and not that I'm there yet but also how does the washing machine work? Thanks in advance.

both work by dragging the item in question to the icon, and dropping it there...

 

the sewing machine will then give you options of the same item type, based on items you have had in that slot in the past... pay the required amount, and it switches the appearance of the item...

 

the washing machine does not alter the appearance of the item, but randomly alters the stats of the item... the final + or - is usually maintained, but several stats may combine to substantially raise or lower one, or a substantal gain or loss in a single stat may be spread over several...

Thanks again Synn, yeah I worked out the whole drag n drop thing about five minutes after I posted this. Thank you for solving my questions the washing machine is something I've yet to try when I get there.
