Is there any purpose to glory other than a ranking system of sorts?

The reason I ask is that I can't see any benefit to a character having high glory, nor can I see a negative to having low glory, I haven't seen it effect anything else.

i agree about it with her, i have not seen any benefit from glory too.

I thought it helped with Duels? Or not?

Glory is the 'ranking' system the game uses to determine player ranks... the more glory you have, the more fights you've won... it has no bearing on each individual fight, but other players use it to get an idea if you are 'too tough'/'tough enough' for them to challenge...  the higher the glory of the opponent, the more glory you earn if you win...
