I was curious how everyone manages their wardrobe items and storage tabs.  Some things to consider...

  • Are you a minimalist and keep only a few items you like?
  • Do you keep your slots full in general, or leave a couple slots open at all times?
  • Do you actively shop the SEX SHOP to gain items you've never owned before even if the stats from those items are not that great?
  • Do you try to obtain all item types in a category to make an ensemble?  (Example, the matching Head gear, Jumpsuit, Belt, and Boots for the "Pit Babe of the Motorcycle Races" for gals, or the "Race Car Driver for Cart Races" for guys)
  • Do you take on missions that give away "free" items to gain them that way?

PRO TIP 1A: Did you know the sewing machine will let you convert the look of an item (for a cost -- premium items cost diamonds, non-premium items cost notes), to match the look of something you used to own AS LONG AS YOU TRIED THE ITEM ON (see PRO TIP 1B) before you sold the item to the cashier?

PRO TIP 1B: Try on every item you get.  It's important if you want to gain the look back via the Sewing Machine.

PRO TIP 2: Level 40 unlocks 200% more slots for storage.  You will get 6 more regular slots + an additional 18 slots in the first of 5 new storage tabs.  The remaining 4 tabs are optional and can be bought using diamonds.

  • Did you buy the extra 4 storage tabs? The next 4 storage tabs will cost you diamonds, TAB 2 will cost 250 diamonds, TAB 3 costs 500, TAB 4 costs 750 and TAB 5 is a whopping 1000. (I think.)  If you buy all 4, you'll gain 72 more slots (18 x 4) for more items.  Is it worth it to spend 2,500 diamonds for 72 more slots?  You decide.  Did you take that plunge?
  • Do you hold on to items with lesser stats because they look good for shooting films / making film covers?
  • Do you typically cash-in & sell decent stat items of EPIC and RARE form to make room for statistically better stat-items labeled as COMMON?
  • Do you hold on to RARE or EPIC items you obtained from specialty party events like Burning Bernie's even though their stats have lost their appeal?

PRO TIP 3: Do you take advantage of the FREE daily washing machine (unlocks at level 50, I think) to try to improve the stat distribution of some of your higher total stat items?

PRO TIP 4: Do you take advantage of the FREE daily refinement (also known as Misty's Atelier) and try to put refinements on most of the items you are wearing?  Refinements can go a long way towards improving battle results, both individually and team studio battles.

  • Do you reserve a slot or two and stock "backup" missiles in case you run out?
  • Do you value certain types of items over others in general?  For example: Outfits over one piece chest items, or items with +4 attributes versus only 1 attribute?
  • Almost same question, do you covet items that grant you certain types of stats over others?

Leave your notes in the REPLY and thanks!

haha wow, so many questions asked up for discussion~ (drooling)

i mostly rotate in and wear clothes with the higher skill points (SPs)

at the current drop rates, i think its overkill to have 2 slots of missiles cause the difference in damage may be well over 500 points. still better than none tho. the Sex shop to me, is a good option if i get desperate, esp for missiles. not really interested in matching clothes set ensemble cause no real benefit / buffs.

i like the protips. i'm out of touch with the current unlock milestones, so its hard to guide newbies.

some lvl100s still arent sure how to Refine. not very intuitive or no forced tutorial.

i guess i prefer classy clothes. nips out is kinda funny, but not forever~

Dexterity = untouchable stat :P

oh, and just to put this out there, for the newbies wanting to join the top studios in the Trophy wars, learn to Refine on rings to get the Porn Star Stickers (for the trophy penalty reduction) and keep them in storage. its mostly for the users own benefit

Sorry in advance; this post is a little rambling and disorganized, especially compared to the fine OP.

I keep old missiles in stock. I tend to buy them whenever I refresh the shop, and I prefer not to throw away useful things, so I have a ton of them in storage waiting to be slowly used up.

I have four sets of gear for maximizing stats for skill missions, so that's 2 storage tabs.

I like to save clothes for possibly making themed movies, so I frequently save headwear, chestpieces, legwear, and belts. The quick pace of items growing old obviously means that there is a lot of stuff being sold, especially items gained from duels (unless they improve on my stat-specific skill mission items). I usually only save epic items though, since I hate to pay diamonds to use the sewing machine in case I want to get my hands on a specific item for a movie cover.

The only item I wear that has to be epic is the chestpiece (yeah, I feel like a child these days when I put on common skill mission gear and revert to standard boobs rather than epic boobs) but other than that I have no preference of item type as long as the stats are better. For some reason I really hate the blood bags and some of the legwear, so if I want to use them as part of my main outfit (the clothes I wear when not dressed up for skill missions or for a movie cover) I'll sew them into a neat common item (I'm cheap that way, and there are some common pants that I really like anyway).

I try to use the washing machine for the achievement rather than out of a desire to change the stats of an item, since I (rightly or wrongly) have become convinced that maximizing a single stat is very inefficient and that you should strive to keep all stats high or else you can still get your butt handed to you in the long run and a few hundred SP up or down between two stats don't seem to matter all that much.

Free refinements are excellent, though occasionally I pay for them when I get too frustrated by bad draws.

Putting a BOW on this post from yester-months...

With the advent of the Patch Update made to the game in July 2016  { read it here }, it is no longer necessary to TRY ON EVERY ITEM (PRO TIP 1B) in order for it to show up as a Whipstitch Pattern in the Sewing Machine.  You can sell the item from the reward screen and it will register as an obtained item.  It did not used to work this way prior to the patch.

This is also the same patch that gives us COLLECTIONS for the first time (found as a tab within the Sewing Machine) and grants various cool rewards for obtaining partial and complete collections.

.

So - how do you manage your wardrobe now in light of the changes made to the game?

.

I still manage the storage the same way.  I keep it packed with the most recent items. I don't sell from the reward screen so I can sell a large quantity at a time and purchase extra energy or pay for whipstiching.  I will have never hesitated to whip a look. Considering how fast an item can become obsolete i never store a item just to wear. Seems like before the patch, complete costumes were seen on movie covers more often. I hardly see a Dr. on the cover of a Dr. title anymore.

On the same conversation I do not keep items very long unless it has a great stat. by the time my storage is full some items are -50. I do sometimes just throw every item I have away and keep my build the same until i start getting more items and build my storage up.

I guess i do not have a real Closet Strategy.  I try to keep all +items in storage in a hope the server will find me in need and kick me something wonderful. Not sure if that is working but I like to think maybe it helps.

Personally, I only save themed items or items I particularly like for film covers. I will occasionally save an item or two that could have a particular refinement that I like to use or will help in fights or missions. Otherwise I sell everything so I can continue to buy skill points. Since the game is based on skill, I only wear the items that give me the best skills. Note: if I change for a film, I quickly change back so I am not left defenseless. The only other exception I make is if I get a duplicate item that I like to keep, I keep the one with better skills.

Pretty simple answer to how I manage my wardrobe, "badly".  :D  I've got all three inventory tabs and all five storage tabs opened up, and they're all full... not items with special abilities to use in situations or anything (I just wear whatever has the best stats and leave it at that), they're just because I want all the clothes.  The only "useful" stuff I've got saved is six stacks of missiles in inventory tab 3 just so I never have to even worry about running short even if I don't find any more for ages (mostly some pop up from a party mission or something, and I sell a half-used stack before I've even finished with it to make room for the new ones). Everything else is just for show, inventory #2 is full of shoes, and all of storage is full of epic items, which I kind of use for film covers but mostly I just have them because I like having them. I have had to get rid of some to make enough room, I only keep shoes and boots that I like, I don't bother with belts (I've got it set to invisible belts anyway), and I don't save anything that doesn't show on my character even though I do kind of wish I could have a big dildo collection in-game.

So here's how I manage my wardrobe... on the outside first box I keep 6 items for the highest Charisma items, and in the second I keep the 6 items for the highest Strength items..the third one I keep 2-3 slots empty for new items. I have 4 tabs... In my first tab I keep my highest Stamina and Finesse items so that I can easily get them for a party or hard job. In the second tab on the upper tier I keep head-gear, in the middle gear belts and the lowest tier my shoes...the third tab I keep clothes that I use for making films... and in the 4th tab I keep the necklace, piercing and the framed items. This is how I have organized my wardrobe.
