Now I don't need to be told that despite the porn theme of BBE that it IS a fighting game and I am aware of this.

Quiet a while back I posted about my stats and how to make them better and I was basically told to sit back and enjoy the game.

So I did.

And I watched others become competitive and wanting to be the best regardless of the cost and not caring about the game and the so called enjoyment of it.

Did I miss something?

What changed?

I'm still simply cruising along and enjoying the game for what it is.

A very addictive game.

Thoughts?

Comments?

I enjoy the game still Sindy :)
Competition is all well and good for an online game but seeing how quickly people can change when it comes to it is very disheartening. But for now I enjoy playing and talking with the friends I've made :)

Sindy, I believe I made most of the pertinent suggestions you describe... While simply enjoying the playing of the game isn't bad advise, I believe I also suggested that you improve your stats, both by direct spending and by upgrade of equipment...

if you have been doing so, I'd be very surprised if your glory ranking has not greatly improved, as well as your ability to win fights...

there is almost always going to be a 'bigger fish' to take you down a peg or two, but you are probably one of the 'bigger fish' to many players by now...

so, my advise is still "Enjoy the game, stats (and wins) will come... eventually..."

And any such advice is good advice which I am still following. :)

The theme of the game is to climb your way to the top.

But you are right in that some players are going at it in a destructive manner that can and will lessen or even kill the enjoyment of others. It is not as bad as on some other games. But even in a short time have seen players who are very fickle to join a studio and then leave at the drop of a hat. All they want are bonus bonus bonus and dont stay to promote or defend a studio. Eventually these fair-weather members end up locked out of every studio. But in their wake are bad feelings over it.

If you ignore the competttetive side and just cruise along progressing the story, helping a studio, or collecting clothes you can go pretty far really.

Just ignore those who are not playing for fun.

I agree with Omega - it's not how others play, it's how you play!

Our studio has become a little more regulated as we've grown - mostly because the cost of diamonds means we can't just keep shovelling them in - but our aims as a studio are to have fun and enjoy each others company!

We've just broken into the 20's in terms of ranking, which is great - but it's a bonus, not an aim! We're having a break from fights over Christmas, and if we slide down the rankings a little so what. We'll get back up in the coming months.

If you read some studios descriptions they read like a full-time job, not some idle giggly fun! But, that may be fun for them!

I don't think the fun has gone anywhere - some of us just find fun in different places!

And my concern was not with stats and wins (even though that is good for the game)

It was more aimed at me enjoying the game more without the headaches of winning or losing.

Addictive? Yes

A fighting game? You bet.

A game? Most certainly and one I am learning to like .... again.
