I got the hunting instinct from the advent calendar. I have used it before sparingly. I didn't really like it all that much. It SEEMS convenient at first, but the hunting instinct targets the wrong missions when you pick "maximal notes per energy".

1) It ignores party tickets. A party ticket is by far more valuable than any other mission reward. Just flat out period! A ticket is 12 high reward missions for NO energy, plus three skills and guaranteed epic gear. If a party ticket is on the map, the hunting instinct MUST find it at highest priority.

2) While the hunting instinct properly counts the sell value of items, it ignores the expected value of a movie ballot. To be fair, I did too, for the longest time. But movie ballots can reward free skills. My suggestion is that hunting instinct value a movie ballot as:

(minimum cost of buying a new skill for the player) * (percent chance of getting a skill reward from a movie ballot)

3) I don't know how to value things like "holiday rewards". But the hunting instinct ignores them, perhaps appropriately. Maybe value a special macguffin item at something nominal, like 500 notes?

TOTALLY!  Hunting instinct is a relic of the past. The game has had so many updates since it's inception, it hasn't kept up with the times and it has no way to deal with special conditions / rewards during special events.

Also, Hunting instinct is little more than an aid for people who won't do math on the basic missions.  Does anybody really use it?  (smug)

I won't buy it. Too expensive for an hour of use.

I *will* use it, when I win it from casino, advent calendar or in a diamond bundle. I do find it valuable when reset missions are on the map, because I don't care about avoiding reset missions until I have scanned all areas. The map can reset and I will still find the highest value missions.

But I *really* dont want to reset the map instead of picking a party ticket.  So I have to click back to the overview map, scan for party tickets or other things i want to collect, then click on the 'max notes per energy" button.

What I want is to just click on the hunting instinct button. IE - Make this convenience feature even more convenient.

PS: speaking of avoiding the reset-missions before clearing the map...

Reset-missions still do not show up on the all-areas overview map when they are in Colorful Diversity.

How can you tell which missions are "reset missions"?

I have seen on occasion the overview map completely changes when coming out of a Party zone, but that's about it.

Reset missions have a different border around them. They are visible on the main map (except, apparently, from the Colorful Diversity). The border is holiday themed. The current ones, for Christmas, have a little snow and ice on them.

Taking a reset mission resets all the map areas, to new missions. All holiday events have reset missions. Go through the map, take all the short holiday special collection items, then use a reset mission to generate more.

Carnaval had balloons - Halloween spiderwebs.

They're a little harder to distinguish on phone... but once you notice it, it's easy.

And sorry for drifting off-topic.

Boooo hunter instinct.

Hunter instinct now finds party tickets, as of the last update.

It may also be calculating other value properly, but I haven't had time to check
