Just for fun topic. I'm curious if anyone has ever pulled off doing a party and convention at the same time. If so, did you manage both without using diamonds? I'm thinking this would be a bit of a feat, but could still be a nice personal challenge. I may try during next convention temple so I can plan a good time to do it.

Edited to correct spelling. This isn't a fetish topic (feet/feat)

It would be a bit of a feat (or feet), because once you are in a "party zone" access to all other stages or venues in the missions screen would be locked out from you.  Returning to the mission screen would return you to the party still in progress.  Unless I'm missing something... I don't think it is possible to attend a Party while doing shows at a Convention.  :S

You can leave party and come back. Did it earlier. It was going to be a fail so I left then changed my mind and decided to finish what I could after one mission

You can do that and save quite a bit of playing time.

But it's less easy to do with convention shows than with regular missions.

1. during a 1 minute timeout between party missions you check out the regular mission map.

2. you remember where there's a short 3 minute missions with a good catch of notes.

3. when a party mission fails and you get the 2 minute cool down, you switch to the normal map.

4. do the short mission and return to the party.

If you don't like the party cooldowns, that's a nice way around them.

It's perfectly doable with convention shows as well, but then you won't be able to time it just as nice.

Meaning either you skip a few conventions shows or risk not finishing your party.

Now that my char has been deleted...

I finally am just as relevant to UK2 as Maalena always has been.

I just use the waiting time to change wardrobe for the different skill missions/fights. I'm sure people who have all the storage tabs and keep things tidy can do this rather quickly, but that's not always the case with me. Sometimes it actually takes me more than the 1 minute to find all the proper items in my little wardrobe mess. :) If the task fails and I have to wait 2 minutes, I try to shorten it to 1 minute if I can or need to in order to finish the party in time. Otherwise I'm more likely to do a movie-making mission if I'm in the midst of a film shoot... or change the look of the cover, write a message in the chat and thinks like that. I don't do regular missions on the map while attending parties.

My bags are a mess too, lol. I thought sell temple would fix that, but noop. It may be worse now since I keep an eye out for things that can help with parties. those are usually common items with a big boost in one stat. I will probably try this next time I have a con and party ticket at the same time. I don't know why. The parties stress me enough as is. I am a glutton for punishment I guess

Normally, I try to do party while I am doing a film and usually always have at least one other star in a different window, and sometimes a different game up in the FB gameroom thing

Okay, I just did this and it was not nearly as difficult as I imagined. Zero diamonds used. A one hour convention popped  for a star that was holding a ticket. I did the 1st two convention shows and then started the party. I chose Bernie to make it easiest on myself). I blew through level 1 without trouble, swapping in items for stat boost. Somewhere in the 2nd level, I blew a fight because I forgot to swap back a couple items after a skill mission.. I jumped over and did a convention show, using the TV to shorten time (it did happen to work and the add finished just in time.) I hopped back into the party and stayed until it was done. I had one fail on final fight, again from forgetting to swap an item  (angry)  I had plenty of time to wait it out without burning any batteries. back at the convention, I used one battery and did the rest at normal time. Finished successful somewhere in the 20s and got common item and an energy voucher.

During all of this I also...

Did missions on two other stars and duels on one plus the one doing the party, finished up a quest in another game, wrote a mail to a studio mate, changed the star's appearance for an upcoming shoot and edited her description, poured and drank a cup of coffee, rolled and smoked 2 or 3 cigarettes and checked this forum.  (grin)
