Hiya all,

 

I found when getting offers for film shoots, I only get offered 2 possible locations, cheap hotel and barn, though I have seen other people have various other places like dungeon etc.

 

Have I missed something or done something wrong so far?

 

Even when I refresh the offers multiple times it is still the same 2 locations

Hi Cait....

 

I play on a different server, but I get a greater variety of locations than what you are witnessing.  While occasionally 2 out of 3 choices might be the same location, in general I see as many as 3 different locations out of a possible 6 (or maybe 7, I haven't really counted) in the rotation

 

Maybe it's a beginner thing, and you'll see more variety as you advance?  What level are you - and how many movies have you shot?

NU has some that the others don't (at least that I have seen so far. They have dungeon and hentai and half pine house. I think you do get more as you level up and/or get more fans

 

Those I can recall on UK servers

 

Barn

cheap hotel

storage room

designer suite

penthouse

 

I feel like I am forgetting some. I haven't had my coffee yet. I'm currently 151 (on this star) so hopefully there are more to come along.

It is strange, I am level 53 at the moment, and have done 31 films, I even used some diamonds to refresh a few times over for new film offers, but the same 2 all the time

I believe that the more upgrades your studio has, the more sets that become available.

 

It may also have to do with how far you have progressed down the career paths... Can't really remember.

I am not a member of any studios yet, as I was trying to find one I would fit into, so that may be what it is, thank you

Space. How did I forget space and the legend of the purple tentacle? I did a film title for it once. Random game trivia: A friend pointed out to me recently that the old guy costar is named Nici the nose. It's from that set.(I am on a personal mission to discover the names of all costars in the shoots)

 

I think it is the career paths. Either the career bosses or the mission chains. maybe both? Knock out Carlos Coitis in Tellville and see what that does

 

I got most of them in a low expanded studio by myself, so I don't think that is the key, though it may be another factor

I'm pretty sure that you get different locations based on the expansion of your studio, as CaptC has hinted at. Thing is though, the locations for films don't do much of anything to be worth it. It feels a shame because I feel like more could be done to make them more interesting, but I'm not sure what exactly. Or perhaps locations could just be removed entirely, since they seem to serve no other purpose than deciding with skill is associated with the skill missions.

That's interesting... I never noticed if the skill was the same per each "quiet on the set!" locations.  That's funny - the Director just buzzed in everyone's ear... how rude... ..    ​

I forgot to mention Villa, a common one on NU. It's not on the others but is usually what is modified for holiday and event special shoots. Villa is the background you can choose in all shoots for 5 diamonds with the winding staircases.

 

Regardless of shoot location, your background options are always the same anyway, except when they add a couple for an event. I was quite bummed recently when the special backgrounds and borders for summer event were gone the following week. 20 diamonds was  too much IMO but there was always a chance of getting them to come up random.

 

I have had the same location twice in the same offer with different skills. Have had them be the same also. That's just random.

All the sets are the same on all servers. Dungeon, Half-timber House, Villa, Space, Hentai-Set, Standart Room etc. are on UK2 as well.

I would think that more of them appear as you level up, but I'm also in a fully expanded studio, so it might be indeed linked to that.

Either way, it doesn't have any impact on anything. You can use the same backgrounds and co-stars regardless of the set. Maybe certain sets will give you different diamond-worth backgrounds and co-stars that relate to that set for free. It would make sense, I'm not sure about it, though.

The bald-headed co-star in a black suit from the Space set is called Nico "Nostrils" Contavalli aka Nico the Nostril.

I haven't seen some of the ones I have on NU on the others yet. Nice to know it's a yet. And yup, the only difference it makes is a different on-screen picture during the shoot and the people/things described in the tasks. I find that stuff interesting.
