I will be wearing the Rare Steel-Capped Boots because of the higher stats and better refinement. What I can not willingly do is pay the 20 diamonds to whipstitch a rare item to an epic item. No loss from me. Stats and refinements take priority over looks, but that's 20 diamonds your game loses each time I get a better stat item... times however many times I get a better stat/refined rare or common item.
