Apologies if this has been posted before (just couldn't be arsed to go through ball the topics) but why not allow us to use all batteries in one day?

Hi GE...

Apologies if this has been posted before (just couldn't be arsed to go through ball the topics) but why not allow us to use all batteries in one day?

I don't think this question has been asked in in these forum walls.  So the question is why not be able to use all 8 batteries per day?

It almost sounds like a riddle that you know the answer to... so I will ask you, why not?

I always thought of it as game design, similar to the question, why not have max batteries equal to max number of studio mates?  At present it stops at 8 max, and 4 in play per day -- are you suggesting expanding the use of batteries to 8 in play per day?

If so, I would probably use them more often than I do now.  (smug)

Yes, we should be able to use all 8 batteries per day, especially for those who cannot be on BBE for long periods.

All 8 can be used in a play sitting if you start playing a little before reset. Use 4 before the game resets and the other 4 after. That's probably not what you're going for Mel, but it's a way ;).

It also depends how you look at it. Since the use limit is 4, the game is allowing you to collect enough for the following day also. So, rather than 'why can't I drink the whole bottle of wine today'. 'wine is abundant. I have a bottle for today and also tomorrow'.

Long missions when batteries are gone are a good chance to visit the small room, hit the fridge, check social media, whatever.

But hmm. What if sex shop sold rechargeable ones? That could be a thing.

Sorry to Mel and my studio-mate, Eagle. I seemed to have replied to wrong person. I saw the name on last posted on overview.

Tara & Mel seem to have picked up on my intention with the suggestion topic: We can ask for 8 batteries in a day, so why can't we use them all?  I guess I posted quickly & it sounded better in my head; also didn't spot the typo.

Yes, Eileen, if you play either side of day-change, due to your time-zone, you can use them all; but you're then restricted to nothing when you play again, right?  What about us living in the actual UK?  What if we cannot play a period straddling midnight?

A further amendment, why just 8?   And that rechargeable idea, like it.

Thanks for the contributions on this subject, GE and all...

I'll send it in as two separate suggestions...1) Rechargeables & 2) Using a Daily 8-Pack.

Anyone want to draft up an idea on how RECHARGEABLES work?  Maybe it's something you invest in??  (Mel mentioned buying them in the S-Shop.) And then use them after some time has elapsed for them to charge up?  For example you can use them at 80% charged capacity, but you'll only get 40% of the mission time reduced.

Thanks,

It seems like it would be a very sell-able item for either notes or diamonds. Given that as is, batteries are free, (they cost the giver nothing to give them) it would probably demand a low price.

My thought on rechargeables is this. As you say an investment, so maybe 50-100 D ea and you could keep like 2 of those. The remainder would still be acquired by asking friends. the rechargable ones would be full again at reset.

At any rate, I never turn down a battery request, even if you just beat me up, lol. So if you're on same realm, feel free to ask. I am guilty of not noticing I have mail for a while at times, so it might not be instant.
