Hello community,

 

Does anyone else ever get this message under the following conditions: ?

 

 

 

1. It happens when  I  DUEL SOMEONE  who is  not part of a studio...
   (from the Standings Ladder page)
    
2. and then if I immediately return to the Standings Ladder page...
    
3. I get the (above) message.

 

Does it happen to you too?

I get that a few times. I don't know what it means though.

It's because a player has gone inactive for too long.

The fact that they're not part of a studio anymore is only a consequence of that.

This thing happened with Stalkee, Emara, JohnForm, Monja etc. on UK2. I'm sure there are others.

Normally after a while of inactivity those players would simply disappear from the rankings.

And you wouldn't be able to hit them anymore...

 

Buuuut if you're truly evil (muhahaha), you can put those players in your Friends List and hit them from there.

That's why they pop up in the ranking lists again (while they shouldn't) and why you get that message.

Thanks for confirming and clarifying some of my own observations, Analis. I noticed that the inactive users seem to disappear from the rankings, but the visible exceptions were confusing me...

I suspect that anyone still on someone's friends list is locked into that state.  One could argue that it is a bug.

I'm curious to know, do the inactives "drop-off" the ladder boards, or your friend's list the same way those that have been away from the game for 105+ days are auto-removed from your studio?

 

At times, I will see people who wrote me messages no longer playing or dropped out of studio with FROM: [player.name] (deleted).

 

Wondering myself, how it's all 'tied-together' (no pun intended)... ...

I am not sure about auto deletes. People that don't log in for a week are kicked from my studio, and I don't really watch them much.

 

I know that I have kept "memorials to the fallen" on my friends list for a long time.

 

When a player deletes, their name is reported that way for all emails from them.

I get that message if I duel someone on the rank list instead of the duel page and then go back to rank list. It pops up without selecting anything, so it seems like things are acting funny. I guess it's another way of saying objects in rear view are further away than they look.

On a friends list or not, they wind up (deleted) after about three months.

So I'm guessing it's that 105-day-period.

That explains why I couldn't find my old star anywhere when I came back. It was like a year or a little less. Oh well. I like the new me better and I'm just a small part of a level from where I was. Thank you Analis
