You know, there was a lot of critique regarding the convention Temple, many of it deserved... But doing these short fighting missions is maybe even worse. A convention turns you into a clicking bot for a limited period (apart from times when there's multiple conventions during the day and they last up to two hours), but the short fighting missions demand the clicks throughout the whole day, if you want to spend all the possible energy. And there are no special rewards for your effort like the free energy, experience, notes and items that you get for conventions (or items/notes/glory for duels).
Personally, I prefer doing long missions that are worth lots of experience + notes and don't tie you to the game, instead allowing you to do whatever you want or need to do while the mission lasts. I'm not doing only the long missions though, usually it's a combination of different types of missions based on the the tasks at hand, rewards and momentary goals... However, fighting missions are my least favorite and having to do them for a week doesn't sound like much fun.
I have the same problem with dueling Temple. If you want to take it seriously and help your studio, you have to keep returning to the game throughout the whole day for the fights, especially since the first 20 courage points renew much faster than all the subsequent courage points.
So adding more variety to do the Temple tasks (making movies, selling items, energy spending) and the way they take turns would be definitely welcome....Because the last few temples all turned you into a clicking bot.
