From what i saw in the latest patch notes, there are conventions that are available in the map.

 

How do you start a convention, and how does it work?

Well... we are supposed to have conventions, if you check the patch notes, you'll see that there are conventions and they use a fan system

In my map there are no conventions, as I showed in my last printscreen.

Well... it says that it's available in all areas, so i assumed that it's gonna be on the map

I don't know, maybe they are going to appear as the missions in a casual order.

If they are like the bed linen, we are going to dream for a long time...

(Yesterday I spent 200 energy units obtaining just 2 bed linen)

Few minutes ago a convention started in Los Vengeles.

 

I had just finished a mission when I received this message

 

After clicking OK, here is the new message describing other details

 

And this is how Los Vengeles looks like now: on the right it is possible to make missions for the convention (4 min every mission)

If anyone of you has any experience from HeroZero - Conventions here in this game resemble Villains in HZ somewhat.This means that they come fully randomly on each server.

Do you have to be a certain level for conventions to appear? I'm level 47 and haven't even seen one.

Conventions can be "level-related" in the sense that if a convention is held in one of the stages you haven't unlocked yet (represented by clouds on the overview map), it will be unavailable to you.

 

I know Garm is over level 200, so all stages would be unlocked and would be eligible for any convention that came to town for Garm in this example.

 

My question is: Why doesn't Playata doing something cool for the Temple-Convention challenges, like they did in November during the Halloween at the Hooper's event?  That was nice knowing in advance the next 3 conventions.  Who wants to wait online 24/7 hoping for the next convention to drop?

 

There is no point in not making convention times known.  In fact, I say they would get more action if they were posted in advance.

 

I'm going to make it a suggestion in the other forum as this one is for FAQ and Discussions.

 I can access Tellville and Santa Roco and in 3 days have not seen a single convention opportunity and need to do 10 missions in one for a photo.. Is there any continuity on when they appear i.e. a certain time a day etc?

Hi Sammyjo,

 

Continuity is not a word I would readily use to describe conventions as for the most part they still remain a mystery as to where and when they will take place.

 

To be clear, there are two types of conventions;

 

1) Special Event Conventions

These are the conventions where frequency of occurrence is limited to a specific time period. For example;  During both the Advent in Tellville (a 25-Day long Holiday Special), and the Halloween at the Hooper's event (a one-week special around Halloween) the game devs did make it known when and where future conventions would be held.  Hooper's gave us a listing of the next 3 convention times in-game, and the Advent special posted it's entire listing of times in the forums.  Also of note, these conventions tend to take place in Tellville, so everyone can get a shot at attending.

 

2) Localized Area Conventions

These are the other "regular" conventions that have limited engagement based on location... and what I mean by that is they are accessible only to players that have unlocked a given area (not covered by clouds) visible in the missions-overview game map.  For example, earlier today a convention was held in Beverly Humps which unlocks at level 200.  In this example, only the players at level 200 (or higher) would have been able to attend this convention, while everybody else would have been unaware of it.

 

 

As for trying to complete Successes related to conducting conventions, I commiserate with you.  But if you stick with it, you will eventually succeed.  As you level-up, new areas will open up and with that comes more opportunity for more conventions.
