I consider myself to be a very open person and not much phases me out however .....

Where do I draw the line at accepting friends with VERY crude character names and descriptions?

I really need to see how far other players will go when it comes to their friends names.

And I am talking over the top here.

I just can't take these people seriously.

well, most importantly its the Boss's discretion that ultimately determines studio policies,

and we could only offer opinions on it from experience without naming examples.

but as long as the names / pet names aren't hateful or encourage it, you're good

This is about people/players that I feel take the whole porn theme too far and go to the point of using extreme character names and/or descriptions of themselves.

It's almost as though they enjoy degrading themselves.

I have been known to use the F word many times.

But to use the C word in a character name to me is a bit off.

I would be more specific but I don't think that you can use those words in the forum.

And I'm sure that I've spelt it out enough.

I feel like it's fine for you to draw the line wherever you want to, if someone says something in their description you're not comfortable with, no matter what it is, then there's nothing wrong with you not wanting to be friends with that person. It's like, they get to write whatever they want (so long as it's not against the rules of the game e.g. hate speech) because that's their space, but you choosing friends is your space, you get to make those choices however you want. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I don't think there's anything wrong with degrading yourself, like you said some people do like it, and it doesn't mean it's about them making themselves worse, it can actually be about feeling powerful and liberated. But someone who does that has to respect that other people might not want to see it. Like I'm fine with the C-word for mine but it would be really rude if I just called it that talking to a stranger, even if I'm talking about my body, not calling them one, which is rude on a whole other level. I don't know how I would be having that conversation with a stranger anyway, just an example. So yeah I think if you're not comfortable it's fine for you to not mix with those people, but whatever they do with their characters is fine so long as they're not going out of their way to try to make you look at them.

What about them using the C word in their character name? Or am I just being a prude?

I will add that I am totally fine with the C word but I just don't know about character names.

It's tricky since your name is kind of "public" even if you don't go trying to get people's attention, I dunno. I mean I guess if it's not against the rules there's no problem someone choosing that name, but at the same time they have to accept that it'll be confronting to some people, or they won't want to use that name if they're chatting or whatever (maybe give them a nickname? "Country Girl" :D  ). But nobody can change their name once it's chosen in the game, so I guess if they're not making a big deal of it in chat or messages, maybe just try to ignore it since they can't change it anyway.

I like the Country Girl idea but yeah it is kinda out there. :)
