UK1 is all but dead because of what I believe to be an expansion exploit. Any studio can have 99% expansion and have a maximum amount of trophies set at 4. Those who have 100% expansion have the maximum set at 5. The only difference between the two is just one single expansion point.

 

Because of this, the #1 studio in our server has been there for about a year (maybe longer) and many long-time, high level players are quitting this game because of this frustration. Older studios that have built to full expansion will never be able to compete with these 99% expanded studios. I do give credit to those who figured this out. It is a strategy and it helps newer studios compete. 

 

In UK2, 4 of the top 5 are 99% expanded. Seems like those who played in UK1 took advantage of this exploit. Those studios that are fully expanded there will eventually suffer the same fate as we are enduring in UK1. Mark these words.

 

So, how do we resolve this? 

After playing for over a year in fully expanded studios, I am willing to donate 5k to rid our studio of one silly expansion if that helps my studio level the competitive playing field. And why not? We are losing too many players who have spent lots of real money to build their studios and characters. We would be not taking away from the others who figured out this exploit. All I am asking is that fully expanded studios be given the same opportunity.

I know there are other aspects of the trophy system, but I'd like to focus this topic on the difference between a fully expanded studio and a 99% expanded studio.

It's funny how this game advertises "fair gameplay" by not allowing us to have more than 1 accounts. (Which is actually the devs loss because diamond buyers could invest more real money into the game, through their multiple characters (which obviously is very much loved in this "free-to-play" game)) How's it a fair game tho to be able to cheat by expanding the studios to just 99% so you'd hold onto just 4 trophies, instead of 5? And even if the trophies are tied to studios expansion, why's it at only 1% bonus cost from full expansion? Why not be able to cheat at the price of lets say 25% bonuses? 

 

Hoping for more than just a typical crappy reply of "we appreciate the feedback, will pass it along" and never get a proper reply. Even if the suggestion has been rejected.

I agree that is ridiculous that is needed 100% expansion to open fifth trophy slot,when studio get 4 slots at 50% expansion.

So why this gap? Why not open all 5 slots to all studios who have more then 50% expansion?

 

That maybe had a sense when server was new,but now i do not see a point to have it locked untill 100% and especially now when it's "not have it unlocked" is used as fight tactic.

Open the fifth slot at 75%.  Then you have to give up significant disadvantage to stay at four trophy slots.

 

But that won't be enough to solve UK1's problem. The problem isn't that there is ONE dominant studio. The problem is that there are TWO, and between them they camp on almost all the energy trophies - and having access to all that energy means they get to increase their advantage against everyone else on the server.

 

Changing the rules so Striped Pantsu is #1 and Hardcore is #2 will not energize me to play (and pay) more. I will be energized to play when other studios have a chance to compete. And the only way I see that can happen is if it is almost impossible to camp on four or five energy trophies.

Its not just the expansion glitch for trophies they hog. Because they are so far advanced of other studios, nobody gets a look in at the temple points either. Granted they are both VERY active and granted they both can toss money at diamonds to remain top but like the exploit it does tend to stop others from trying. Whats the point in trying for the "enlightened achievement" when theres zero chance of ever getting it. The only thing the temple does for everyone else is anable them to expand the studios for just a bit of effort, yet once you have 100% expansion, wheres the incentives to keep doing the tasks?.

Well, I disagree a little. Studio diamonds buy cakes and doubles, too.

 

But the main point, that camping energy trophies also allows a studio to completely dominate most temple competitions, is still accurate.
