A NEW FORUM GAME IDEA: AND SO IT GOES (A sub-forum for Storytelling Adventures by you, our creative forum members)
I have not seen this done here, but I was thinking we could have "A run-on story-telling section" (this would not be so much of a game, but a creative outlet for some of our more creative forum members)
SETUP & RULES
Forum moderators, you can create a sub-forum for this... call it something like: AND SO IT GOES (A sub-forum for Storytelling Adventures by you, our creative forum members)
Explain in the initial post (or in a sticky) what the sub-forum is for: Within this forum, you get to be the occasional and accidental author of the various sexy stories within. Take turns introducing new and adventurous characters, or by adding depth and action to the existing stirring and steamy plots, or you can take a fan-role by showing your appreciation after reading sections you liked by using the "LIKE THIS" button.
Within the sub-forum, multiple story threads can be created. Each story thread requires an initial set-up with the premiere post, which includes:
Setting: Theme, genre, time-period, locale, etc.
Players: Initial characters, names, genders, quirks, kinks, motivations, etc.
Plot: Initial story line, usually defined as a brief description of what is going on or where the story could be heading
Here's an example:
Setting: New York's Central Park. It's dusk, around 7pm-ish, and it is late spring - the sun will be setting in one hour
Players: Gloria, a 20-something aged woman looking for her lost dog named Carl, and Carl, a 30-something man looking for his online date, a girl named Gloria
Plot: Carl is supposed to meet Gloria (for the first time in real life), the women of his dreams, a woman whom became increasingly intriguing and sounded like she was game for just about anything after chatting with her for several weeks online using a popular dating service. He is nervous as he approaches Gloria. What Carl does not know is his online Gloria stood him up. THIS IS NOT his Gloria.
Stories can be told in theater play manner:
Gloria: (apparently looking for someone or something) Carl! Carrrllll! (whistling in a high-pitched tone) Come on Carl!
Carl: (nervously approaches) Gloria?
Gloria: Yes, who are you?
Carl: I'm Carl! (arms open, expecting a hug)
Gloria: (looking a little annoyed) Very funny, I'm looking for my dog, Carl. Can you help me??
Or in a narrative manner:
Carl was looking forward to meeting the woman of his dreams, Gloria, for the first time in real life. He set up a time and a place to rendezvous near Central Park's entrance on the north side of "The Met" near 5th avenue. Carl, was more than giddy and excited as he walked past the Met, and saw Gloria dressed in playful jogging shorts and a halter - she too was a bit excited, and apparently looking for someone or something. He made his approach as Gloria called out, "Carl! Carrrllll! (whistling in a high-pitched tone) Come on Carl!"
Carl figured Gloria to be a good sport online, so he played along, shouting back - "Hey Gloria, here I am!" Gloria was not amused, "Who are you?" she said with a wrinkled face. "I'm Carl" he replied complete with sheepish grin and arms wide open. "Very funny Mr. Carl, if that is your real name...", she replied, "but I don't have time for fun and games at the moment - I am looking for my dog - can you help?"
The sections can be brief, but each addition should move the character or story plot forward.
Let me know if you need a moderator to help. I imagine some rules might need to be setup to keep the language clean, etc. I am not exactly sure how that will sort itself out or how that should look, but I put this out there for a possible forum activity.
